While creating and adapting this web page for the past few months (since December 2001!), many pages of information, stories, images, sound files, and all-around smart-assed humor have been given towards the life(?) of the man known to us as Chef Dracula (Brad Trudeau). However, little has been said about his right-hand man, his sidekick, his part-time lover (just kidding), that lovable brain-washed assistant known to the world as Renfield. Yes friends, I, Dr. Van Helsing, deemed it necessary to finally show some appreciation to the man who helped Count Dracula become what he is today. Renfield, this one's for you.......
Once upon a time in a galaxy far, far away.....(Sorry, wrong story).
Back in the late 19th Century, a young man with great intelligence traveled to a large castle in the hills of Transylvania. This young man's name was Renfield. A short but stocky man, Renfield had an attitude and a personality the size of Mt. Everest. Very cocky and self-assured, Renfield defied all of those who warned him against his journey to the castle of the vampire known as Dracula. You see, Dracula had contacted Renfield's law firm in London about drawing up a contract to purchase a home in the English city. Forewarned by his partners about visiting this famous vampire, Mr. Renfield set out for Transylvania to visit that neck-biting necrophiliac. Little did he know the consequences that were to come..........
Upon arriving in the small town near Dracula's castle, Renfield could not understand why the local townspeople were discouraging his trek to the castle. Always self-reliant, Renfield set out to meet the Count.
As he walked through the creaking door of the castle, Renfield felt a cold shiver run down his spine as he looked up (he's always looking up, since he's so short!) to be standing in the shadow of the death-defying demon known as Vlad Dracula. Middle-aged and graying, Vlad Dracula stood towering over this miniscule man, in his long and shiny black cape, white shirt, black pants, hair slicked back with the 19th Century's version of Pennzoil, and a gold medal around his neck. Not intimidated by anyone, Renfield continued to walk inside the castle, and get down to business with Count Dracula.

After completing their business affairs, and the deed to his new house in hand, Dracula invited Renfield to join him for dinner. The two have a nice conversation, tell stories, and then settle down for the night, to prepare for their trip to England.
Later that night, Dracula bids Renfield a fond farewell for the evening, as he shows his hospitality as a host, by offering him a place for slumber. Little did Renfield know that this would be his very last night of pleasure.
While lying alone in his room, Renfield was greeted by several of Dracula's "wives," as they entered his room and proceeded to show their love and affection towards him. (Towards Renfield??!!??, they must be desperate!) Renfield's "rose" into excitement and began to enjoy the night, until they were discovered by Count Dracula.....

Enraged with anger towards this miniature man, Dracula's revenge would come upon Renfield. Instead of merely "sucking" the life out of him, the Count deemed it necessary to have a sidekick, or a servant, with him in England. Someone to do his dirty work and stand behind him in his trials of terror.

Because of the Count's inferiority complex, he would not allow Renfield to maintain his intellectual status. Instead, this miniscule man would be limited to a life of bug-eating and brain damage, as he serves as Dracula's mindless slave, longing for blood himself, and to live the life of his Master.......
Due to his new status of lunacy, Renfield now craved insects and vermin as his new source of nutrition.
In his meaningless life, Renfield would now have the mental capacity of a five-year-old. He would be allowed impromptu spouts of intelligence, but only when his master was asleep during the daylight. But when the sun went down, he was simply the mindless idiot that he was created to be, serving Count Dracula. Desperate for a life of his own, Renfield would soon be forced into a life with a bottle, to ease his suffering, and also for great pleasure, since he enjoys it so much. Favoring Vodka, Renfield would only become more mindless and more dependent on his master. The effects of this alcoholic beverage would soon lead him to becoming leacherous and lewd towards the women in the streets of London. Luckily, for his sake, his was mistaken for the only intoxicated idiots of England.

After arriving in England, the Count offers his opinion of his new town home.
On his first venture into the fine English city, Count Dracula meets his new neighbors and has casual conversations into the matters of mirrors, some tales of Transylvania, and the after-life. This encounter is also the first time that Count Dracula and I (Dr. Van Helsing) first met. But, Count Dracula had already heard about me, and my quest for vampire elimination.
After several visits in a sanitarium with Dr. Seward, Renfield continued to obey his master, and Count Dracula continued with his neck bites and necrophilia. But, after a while, they seemed to disappear. Some people believed that these two men were impaled and destroyed, for they were not heard from for hundreds of years, until.........
Late 20th Century.
History has proven that Renfield has always stayed close to his master. For the two of them were recently discovered once again, together in the streets of Dallas, Texas. Count Dracula was now living under an assumed name as chef in the Dallas Independent School District (he was widely known for his famouus Monster Mash Banquets and Parties in Transylvania), and as an instructor at El Centro College. Renfield was now assuming another identity, as attorney J. Keith Brown in the neighboring city of Garland. As it turns out, Renfield, or "Keith," was placed in a trance by the Count to temporarily restore his old levels of intelligence to make ends meet. Apparently, Count Dracula couldn't even make enough money to cover the cost of his castle in North Dallas and its high taxes, plus other "living" expenses. Thus requiring Renfield to help support him in a law practice. However, once night falls, Renfield once again serves his master well. The two are seen at various times together, in the kitchens of El Centro as master and student. The two will never separate, as they have become very attached to each other over time. Stricken by bad relationships and bad women, they are now partnered with each other. On Saturdays in Dallas, they can even be seen imitating the Village People at clubs in the Oak Lawn Ave. district of Dallas. As always, I'm just kidding. I can assure the whole world that Drac and Renfield definitely would NOT do this, since they ARE frequently seen lurking around the women of Dallas, being as human as the next male (even thought they're not exactly human, anymore). Similar to their previously-mentioned experiences in London over 500 years ago. Women of Dallas: BEWARE. One goes above the neck, the other goes below.....
I hope that I was able to provide a look into the life of the other man in Dracula's life, the one who made him what he is today (now matter how pathetic the Count may be). This page is dedicated to the greatest and most loyal servant that ever lived..........................................Renfield.
