| Ooh Boy! How long was this movie in theaters, a week? Before I begin let me explain something I didn't go to see this movie because I wanted to but because it was on after Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the drive -ins. This movie is just like every other science fiction movie you've ever seen just without the great special effects, entertaining plot or an interesting twist. Basically, it's missing everything a good sci-fi movie needs. One thing the movie does have is a significant amount of product placement. To sum up the movie it's basically a two hour commercial for anything and everything. Ok, the plot, um, Ewan McGregor's character (don't ask me his name it had numbers in it) is living in this utopian world and wishes to be sent to the island a contamination free part of the world but he soon begins to question his surroundings and discovers he's a clone. With this discovery him and Johansson escape and try to bring down the company but, oh no, they're being chased but naturally they go back and save the day in one of the stupidest endings I have ever seen. My verdict is: don't see it, don't rent it, don't even think about it unless you want to play a drinking game where you take a shot every time you see a new product. Believe me you'll be pretty buggered real quick maybe it'll make the movie better. I doubt it. You've seen it before, You've seen it better. |
