Another typical example of German Engineering.
Yup thats my car.  Its an '84 Porsche 944.  She's not that spectacular but boy can it haul ass.  Some people mistake Porsches as being very expensive to purchase and upkeep.  Well the upkeep part is true but the price isn't.  I bought this one in mint condition for $5,000 from the original owner.  So far it has taken me a long ways through my life and is still driving me to work, college and back home.  It's a great car and I have decided to keep this car for as long as I live.  Need I say there is no substitute?

Despite the reputation of Porsches being expensive, they really aren't.  I bought this car back when I was 14 for a mere $5,000.  The car was in mint condition.  The only major repairs I have done so far was a new water pump, clutch and a radiator.  The car is incredibly reliable and fast.  It's a riceburner's worst nightmare with its top end.  It may not be the quickest off the line, but in the fields it lacks, the 944 gains a lot more in other ones, like one of the world's best handling cars, like it was claimed when it first came out.

*Many owners of 944s I have confronted claim that the factory tests are modest and hide the true performance of the car.
