What there is to know about me...

Originally hailing from Pennsylvania, where I began my path into the creative world, I became a transplant into the southern culture with a move to North Carolina. Before my move, I spent approx. 10 years in the film and video industry, mostly in a freelance capacity, but did spend a fair amount of time working in a studio environment. I worked in many roles, from grip to chyron operator to technical director of the Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards. Production content varied from corporate town-hall meetings broadcast through sat-cast to commercial work for various Fortune 500 companies to short film and college sports broadcasts. The aspect I enjoyed most throughout these endeavors was the opportunities I had to create graphics. Upon moving to North Carolina, my initial seek and find was in the film industry. Due to unforeseen circumstances involving state legislature, the industry dried up, moving to other states with a higher tax incentive. I dabbled in some television roles, production manager and commercial/promotions producer, but ultimately found a new calling, education. While educating was fullfilling, my passion for design only grew. I jumped back into the freelance game, only this time to pursue design work in my area. I successfully began doing design work for various local companies, creating anything from logos to print advertisements to videos and even writing radio spots. I even had the opportunity on many occasions to create apparel design (screenprint) for a few different businesses.
