HINTS & TIPS
1. Drive to finish.. too much aggression is not how you win races on the dirt...
2. Keep your aircleaner clean and well oiled. K&N filters work better with a foam outerwear in very dusty conditions. Use a new filter for each race.. it's cheaper than a rebore, and Waimak dust is very hard on engines. Aircleaners in a box work better.. a cheap plastic container is ideal.
3. Tyre pressures vary depending on conditions. Dry track / speedway try 15 to 20psi, wet track down to 8. At the lower limit watch that you don't spin the tyre on the rim. "No more nails" or similar glue works for bonding tyres to rims.
4. You can buy parts at good prices direct from the USA.. find: www.bikebandit.com (parts microfische on line) www.denniskirk.com ( will sell and ship to NZ) Use google to find "pistons online" I got a sleeve and piston sent out for half NZ prices.
07 Champs are on this Sunday 7th October on the old track. Even though there are points at stake, all drivers are required to show respect for other competitors. Here's some rules and guidlines on overtaking during this and other events. Overtaking
