Height: 5'8"
Weight: 146
Eye color: Light blue
Hair color (when in human form): Bright red, bordering on orange at times
Physical appearance as a Jellicle: A scruffy-furred tomcat, medium height with a thin but athletic build. His eyes are blue, and his coat is mostly black, with tabby stripes of orange, red, and yellow.
Physical appearance as a human: You can probably say that Jerry is handsome. Terence is of average height, being 5'8'' and has a lean -- in fact, rather skinny -- build. He's in quite good shape, being a naturally active person. His eyes are light blue, wide, round, almost innocent-looking except for their usual dangerous, excited sparkle. He's of Irish descent, so his skin is almost translucent in its fairness, and with a good dosage of freckles. He has a permanently lopsided, evil grin across his face, a face that could be said to be cute, but not really handsome. His hair is bright red, bordering on orange in some lighting, and permanently messy. He likes to wear it kind of long, preferring to avoid the barber if at all possible, but since he rarely takes the time to comb it, his is a decidedly scruffy look. If his hair has to be contained, he uses liberal amounts of gel to hold it back.
A typical outfit for Terry Crane would consist of faded jeans and old, ripped-up t-shirts. The shirts are often for some band or other, since Terry's fond of rock an' roll, and usually black. If the weather is cold enough to warrant it, he'll add a tattered sweatshirt to the mix. For shoes, he prefers beat-up sneakers or hiking boots. This tattered, grungy look is as much to give him a certain image as it is due to his financial status.
Personality (The minimum is two paragraphs): Terry is a thrill-seeker, enjoying life to its fullest no matter what the consequences are. He likes taking risks, doing stupid, dangerous stunts like standing up on a speeding motorcycle. Nowadays, he steals more for the fun of it than because he actually needs the cash -- he gets a sort of high from living life on the edge, and because of this he can avoid actual drugs, which he hates the thought of.
Terry does have a conscience -- he just doesn't listen to it. He often feels rather guilty for some of the things he does because of this, but always manages to rationalize it to himself. He tries not to think too far ahead in life, staying in the moment, spontaneous and unpredictable. He isn't one of those people who schedules things, or sticks to any kind of a routine.
Though he likes to pretend to be a tough guy, a loner, and an independent kind of person, Terry really doesn't like being alone. He's a very social guy who can be quite loyal to the people he gets close to, though his personal history doesn't allow much room for trust, and likes hanging out with big groups of friends. He is by nature somewhat weak-willed, more of a follower than the leader he'd like to be.
Likes/dislikes: Likes - Chinese food, roller coasters, thrills of any sort, apples, swimming, freedom, very loud rock music. Dislikes - Being used, being bored, drugs of any sort, having to sit still for long periods of time, being dependent on other people.
Personal history (The minimum is two paragraphs): Terry was born in the bad part of Los Angeles, California, to the 15 year old Alison Crane (who was a Jellicle). Terry's father skipped out as soon as he heard that Alison was pregnant, and she gave all the responsibility for the child's up-bringing to her grandmother Rosalie (another Jellicle), whom she lived with, her own parents having died some years earlier in an earthquake. Rosalie had raised Alison, and now she raised Terry, since the girl was more concerned with having a good time than taking care of children. This led to her downfall -- when she was 17, she went driving with some friends who were high on marijuana, and in the terrible crash that ensued, Alison was killed. The Crane family was poor, living in the slums of L.A., but what little Rosalie had was spent on Terry, whom she doted upon. Terence grew up basically a decent kid, but the environment he lived in was one of corruption and amorality, and so as he became an adolescent, he started hanging out with "bad" kids, and doing things like stealing. Though he felt guilty at betraying his great-grandmother's trust, Terry became quite adept at petty theft, breaking into cars or houses, and driving a motorcycle (one of his so-called "friends" had one, and lent it to him on occasion). When he was 14, Rosalie died -- lung cancer from a lifetime of smoking, in addition to simply getting on in years. Terry was put into a foster program, and ended up in a variety of different homes. At each one, he would do his "tough guy" act, and so he rarely stayed with one family for very long. Finally, 17 years old, he got sick and tired of the whole thing, and ran away. The family he was with at the time lived quite near Millhaven, and so this small town was the first place he ended up. Broke, he got a job as a clerk at the local video store, and slept on the streets. Derek Jameson found him, recognizing the boy as a Jellicle (since Terry had never bothered to wear contacts, knowing no Jellicles except his own family) and basically picked up the teenager, giving him the odd job to do in exchange for more money than he could make at the video store. The jobs became less and less legal, not to mention moral, and Terry became more and more trapped in Derek's power, which he is not at all happy about.
Magical abilities: Hot-wiring cars! *lol* No, just kidding. But all he needs to run off at the scene of crime is a bent piece of wire, like a paper clip, and presto!
*vroom* NOW where did your BMW go?
