| When Ed Jones makes up his
mind - there is no stopping him! He is confident, a
little head strong but with a lot of passion for what he
loves to do. A native of canton, Ohio, this father of two began playing the drums at the age of 9 and by the age of 12 was performing locally. He began devouring a steady musical diet of Buck Owens, Charley Pride, George Jones, and Johnny Cash, falling unabashedly in love with long-established style of country music that continues to influence him today. One of his greatest childhood memories was going to the local clubs with my parents to watch the bands perform, I just knew that I wanted to do that too! At the age of 16 Ed even got his feet wet playing with the local rock bands until joining the army at the age of 17. Ed served his country till he was 20 after returning home he picked up were he left off never missing a beat. After raising his kids pretty much as a single father ed remarried and moved to Nashville in the spring of 2002 to continue his work in music full time. Ed has had the good fortune of working with C.M.C. Studios of Canton, Ohio, Rock 107 and K-105 with such major artist as Clay Davidson, Lila McCann, Carolyn Dawn Johnson and Chalee Tennison, and also with such rock bands as Kansas, Mountain, and Nazareth just to name a few but he still enjoys working with unknown artist trying to break into the music business. ED stepped into the Texas music scene in 2003 with such artist as Johnny Stclair, and Izak & west working and performing across Texas. Ed has also had the privilege of opening with Izak & West for Joe Nichols and Allen Jackson at the 2003 Oregon Jamboree. And now with his production company in full swing he is ready to tackle Texas .Ed believes that in Texas were the music continue to grow the rest will follow. Texas will be the next big thing! |
