Puppies
Enchanted Oaks is a proud member of:
We take our responsibility to the future very seriously here at the Chateau. It is our intention that every person who is introduced to our dogs be just as impressed by them as we are. For this reason, all of our breedings are carefully planned, to produce the very best puppies possible. We select from only the finest bloodlines, and carefully match each pair in temperament and  conformation, keeping always in mind the Golden Rule of Dog Breeding:

To that end, we have selected a strong assortment of talents in our dogs, and blend them judiciously to maintain this wonderful diversity of purpose. Of course, some breedings will produce certain strengths moreso than others, and even within litters some individuals are better suited to one purpose than another. We do our very best to match our puppies to their new homes, to make certain that every puppy that leaves here is exactly what the new owners expect, and a joy and delight to its new family. In that way, we can ensure that both puppy and buyer enjoy a happy future together.

U'Maru de St. Sacrement; hosted for St. Sacrement kennels
Sunshine de St. Sacrement; co-bred with St. Sacrement Kennels
Our pricing is very simple. Companion quality puppies are occasionally available. These are puppies that have minor faults such as a missing rear dew claw, a white spot in the wrong place etc; things which would of course not hamper their ability to be a wonderful companion but which nevertheless make them unsuitable for breeding. Companion puppies are therefore required to be spayed or neutered, and receive 'limited' registration, meaning that they are eligible to be entered in show events such as agility, obedience, etc, but no offspring from them could ever be registered. Companion puppies are guaranteed to be free of any heritable problem that would prevent them from leading a happy, productive life, and are priced at $1000.
Show/Breeding/Working prospects are pups which 'have the stuff' for a variety of useful purposes. The bulk of our puppies are in this category. Show/Breeding/Working prospect puppies are guaranteed to pass hip, heart and eye clearances necessary to breeding stock, and are further guaranteed to be suitable for the purpose for which they were purchased, or they will be replaced with a pup of suitable quality out of the next litter acceptable to both parties, subject to availability. These puppies are sold with 'full' registration. Show/Breeding/Working prospects are priced at $1250.
"Pick" puppy (of either sex) is seldom available. Our breeding program is a carefully crafted chain that reaches from our past into our future; when we plan a breeding, it is usually for some specific purpose and the 'pick' from each litter is usually spoken for before they are born. However, frequently the pick of the OPPOSITE sex is still available. Then too, there is never a guarantee that we will get the exact combination of traits, color, or sex that we were hoping for, so sometimes both pick pups are available. Pick puppies come with 'full' registration,  carry the same guarantees as the other Show/Breeding/Working prospects, and are priced at $1500.
Older pups are occasionally available, and are priced depending on the level of training and/or titles they have achieved, starting at $1500.
Ear Crops are optional, at the owner's discretion. We have a wonderful vet who does a good job on the ears. If we have them done here, we simply add his fees ($150) to the purchase price. Natural ears are attractive and perfectly acceptable, although be aware that the Standard lists crops as 'preferred,' so if showing is an interest, it is something to consider. However, we have received nothing but good remarks about our uncropped female, Tally, so we believe it should largely be based on preference.
Shipping is available; we have two international airports within driving distance. Health certificates are $25, and if we are to provide the shipping container, it is an additional $75. Shipping costs vary depending on the airlines; for younger puppies it is usually in the vicinity of $225-$300 when shipped in a standard 400 airline kennel.
All puppies born at Chateau Sorciere receive "Early Neurological Stimulation" from birth on. This helps to prepare them for anything their owners may ask of them later. We fully believe this program results in happier, healthier, more outgoing and social puppies. In addition, our pups are exposed to livestock as soon as they can walk, including rabbits and poultry, cats, hoofstock, and other dogs. All of our puppies are fully wormed and innoculated before they go to their new homes.
Thank you for your interest in our dogs. If you have any further questions, we can be reached by email at [email protected]. We know you have a choice where you spend your Internet time. Thank you for visiting us and please come again!

What this means is, every breed has a special purpose for which it was designed. In the case of our Beaucerons, that is a tall order! The Beauceron is an incredibly versatile breed, suitable for a variety of purposes, such as Herding, Search and Rescue, Assistance for the Handicapped, Protection work, Agility, Obedience, etc.  We are dedicated to maintaining this versatility and work ethic in our dogs.
