The Dreamcatcher is the inspiration for the Logo of the Group of Eight 2006. Inspiration is from the fragile forests and cliffs overhanging Trent De Tyre, the venue for the World Leaders Summit in July. Designed by Amitave Goshe, from the tribal group of the Rock Tent Shire, The Dreamcatcher symbolises a very importent heritage and tradition of the hopes and aspirations for a better future of the world.
Entitled "Tapestry of the World", the G8 2006 logo will be used extensively throughout the summit venue at Rockeraiders, as well as at the sideline summits, official workshops, events, and conferences across the Federation throughout 2006.
Mr. Goshe designed the logo in early 2004, after Rockeraiders was chosen by then President Kedinsky as the Principal Venue of the 2006 Summit. The Federation was awarded the honor of hosting the respected summit in 2002. The Dreamcatcher also unifies as a full circle, representing the world and the unity of the nations. Ultimately, "Tapestry of the World" represents peace and harmony, for the nations of this earth. One World, One G8.
