VIENNA AUSTRIA

      Im at the Royal Hotel for 78 Euros. Visited Johann Strauss graves Beethoven, Mozart, Nicola, Schubert, Bruchner, Wagner, Schamber, Pfitzer, Richard Strauss, Webern, Berg. So many great composers.

      Back to room for a nap. Supper was great as I was starved. Had a nice chicken bread with tomato sauce, Red potatoes a Artichoke and cucumber salad, Black Bean Soup. Short glass of Orange schnapps, Vanilla custard, and a bottle of Krugel Beer.

      Well good nights sleep, nice breakfast of eggs, fried potatoes, toast coffee. Rented a car from the Hotel. Have visted through Hohen, Welsa, Groz, Baden, Klagenfurt, and visited Castles of Belvedere, Aicherg, St. Georgen, and Heidenreichstein, got good pictures in Schattenburg and Wolfsburg Palaces. Sure a lot of castles and mansions.

      Have gone through Baden, Rust Gossing, Wolfberg few other towns. Stopped in Murau for lunch of Leberkase, different sausage. Got one with mustard and brea at a sausage stand (wurstols Stand) very feeling and bg. Had a Marzen Beer.

      Well gone by Salz kammiergut Lakes. Im in Salburg will stay at Hotel Stadthrug. All I can say about room is (wow). Has nice garden to eat outside. Good meal of tuna sandwich tomatoes sour kraut and milk. After a nice nap sat in garden with some Apple Schnapps. Salzburg overlooks River Inn.

      Breakfast was Sweet rolls and coffee. In Salzburg 'Silent Night' was written. Sound of Music filmed here. Visited St. Anton and to Nonnberg Abbey at Nonnburg Gasse. Lovely place to visit Lunch of Roast Beef with the works at the Trapp Family Lodge.

      They get plenty of snow. Salzburg is considered the Jewel of Austria goes back to stone age. Celts originally occupied Salzburg Has been occupied by many countries In 1939 Germany invaded Austria, a lot of the Austrian men fled and joined the British.

      After a nice supper of cabbage soup, carrots and cucumber tomatoes, fried liver with onions, noodles and a pork gravy. Dessert was Apple Strudel. Had a Mullner Beer. Got a small bottle of Gruner Beltliner wine and sat outside in Garden.
