The area of focus is the chassis assembly. This has been highlighted on the AutoCAD drawings located in appendix A. The chassis is transported on a conveyor chain track for a majority of its assembly until right before startup. The assembly work is divided into stations. Stations have been previously defined as the work done in sixteen minutes. The four stations and the processes that are of primary focus are as follows:

Fold Station

These members are attached to the RAIL BARS to begin the assemble of the CHASSIS:

  • Cross-members
  • Rear suspension components
  • Routing Airlines
  • Front Cross-member Sub-Assembly
  • Fuel tanks supports

Unnamed Station 1

The following are attached to the CHASIS:

  • Front spring brackets
  • Engine mounts
  • Miscellaneous brackets

Unnamed Station 2

This station attaches:

  • Steering Gears
  • Engine Mounts
  • Miscellaneous Brackets

Torque Station
