KHAZM is an experimental heavy to ambient music project based in Mount Prospect, Illinois, featuring creative use of traditional metal instruments as well as sampling, effects, and electronica.

Unfortunate news: We've lost our second guitarist (no faults, no blame, no issues - couldn't be helped), so we're looking for someone to fill the third melody slot. And we still need someone to add rhythm - whether with drums or a machine it doesn't matter, as long as it works. Please contact us if you're interested. Vocals are a bonus, but not necessary.
Good news: Spreading the shred. Chaos Angel is now appearing in local death metal group Aphotic Kshatriya as vocalist and guitarist and local metal band Alchemy as bassist, so hopefully soon we'll get into a more regular schedule of live playing. So far we seem to be regulars at El Ray's "Open Mic Night" at Lamplighter's in Palatine . . . Kudos to Dan Arwady who played drums at the last show. Great work.
KHAZM is currently working on writing and developing new tracks, expanding KHAZM's emphasis on progressive music and creative orchestration. KHAZM is working on developing a collection of recordings of KHAZM pieces played in a "live" format, rather than carefully perfected studio-style recordings (to come later), which are very time-consuming. New studio recording of "If You Sleep . . . " available. Live recordings of "Pyromania" and early version of "Wrath of Babylon (Encounter of the Thousand Gods)" now available as well. For now, KHAZM is playing with our most loyal (read "synthesized") band members, "The Tree" on keyboards and "Free Beer" on drums.
