The Mexican charreada is somewhat like an American rodeo but significantly different. In the charreada the emphasis is more on form and style and it's not so much a matter of the charro, cowboy, mastering the animal. Included in the charreada are young women riders who wear beautiful dresses that look quite attractive spread over the horse. Pictures we took of the actual charreada didn't come out because the ring was half shade and half bright sunlight, but that didn't prevent us from getting pictures of two young charras waiting their turn in the grandstand. | |
