
Notes for Thomas Z. MARSHALL:
Upon graduation from high school, Thomas worked for a couple of years
at the former Kenyon State Bank. He then went to New York where he was
employed at the First National City Bank of New York as a Credit
Analyst.
In the summer of 1918, he joined the Merchant Marine and after
several trips to Europe was discharged in the summer of 1919. He then
returned to the Midwest where for 26 years he was cashier of the
Citizens State Bank of Hayfield.
In 1946 Thomas moved to Braham where he was cashier of the First
State Bank. He retired December 31, 1966. That year he was recognized
by the Minnesota Bankers Association for his 50 years of banking
service to the State and community.
In 1970 Thomas was also recognized by the Grand lodge of the State of
Minnesota as a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge.
