After graduating from the Plainview high school, Edgar attended the
University of Minnesota and graduated from the dental college in 1891.
He started to practice dentistry in the summer of 1891 at Dodge
Center, Minnesota. Two years later he opened an office in Kenyon,
spending two days a week at Kenyon besides conducting his practice in
Dodge Center. In 1897 he moved to Kenyon to make his permanent home.
Edgar retired from his profession in 1943 after 50 years of practice.
Edgar took an active interest in the affairs of the community and
served for some time as a member of the local board of education. He
was a Past Master of the Masonic lodge.
