My Crowley Ancestry
William (Bill) Charles Crowley
My Dad was a great fan of the late country singer Roy Acuff and his "Smoky
Mountain Boys". He loved the song "Wabash Cannonball". The song playing is in
memory of my Dad and the late Roy Acuff of the Grand Old Opry.
William Charles Crowley b. 2-23-1914, Union Co., GA, d. 1-9-1986, Barnesville, Lamar
Co., GA, married Elizabeth Olean Stewart b. 5-23-1918, Liberty, Pickens Co., SC.,
d. 8-29-2003, Barnesville, Lamar Co., GA, daughter of Columbus Webb (Cull) Stewart
and Della McGaha Stewart.
Bill served in the Civil Conservation Corps (C.C.C.) in his earlier years. In 1942, he
relocated to Macon, Bibb Co., GA, after being hired to be trained in the first class
of Aircraft Engine Mechanics for Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, GA. After his
retirement, he relocated to Barnesville, Lamar Co., GA.
Bill and Elizabeth interred in Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ann Eubanks b. 5-27-1937, Reynolds, Taylor Co., GA. Daughter of Ben Frank and
Miriam Harmon Eubanks. Charles and Ann were married 12-24-1957, and divorced
10-31-1991.

d. 6-1997, of a self inflicted gun shot wound. Interred in New Hope
Primitive Baptist Church (also known as Little Vine Church), Reynolds,
Taylor Co., GA. Chuck never married.
