As hard as it's for me to believe other things are happening on October 9th besides our wedding.  If you plan to visit Ann Arbor that weekend please be aware that it's the University of Michigan homecoming on that day.  Good luck Minnesota Golden Gophers.

I would like to congratulate my cousin Rochelle and husband Jay Prestage on their first child expected to arrive on Oct 11th.  That's one way to get out of having to buy a Matron of Honor dress.  We wish the best to the expecting couple.

Graduation is in the air, and we would like to say congratulations to Mashona Myers who graduated from University of Cincinnati with a bachelors in Criminal Justice.  And to Randall (Randy) Swope who graduated from high school this month also.  He plans to continue his education at a local college. 

On the wedding front we have hired all necessary vendors, all dresses and tuxedos have been ordered or picked out.  The planning has been hard work but it's also been fun.  Cake tasting is always a pleasure.  Now if we could just have someone else pay for all of this.

I was thrown a lovely shower by my cousin Rochelle Prestage and LaShawn Dillard.  It was hosted at the Marriott Hotel in Ypsilanti, the food was great, the games fun and keep everyone laughing.  I just want to thank everyone for the lovely gifts and the words of encouragement.

The results of the honeymoon poll is in and "Cruising on the high seas" was the clear winner.  Are you listening Torin, the people have spoken. :)

September

We have final finalized the menu for the reception, the beef will be Top Sirloin and the chicken is Herbed Chicken with Shitake Mushrooms.  Both of the entrees are great.

It's football season again, and Michigan State Spartan are in rare form this year.  I just hope they improve from there first game, my brother almost shattered my eardrum with his shouts of disapproval.  Go Spartans

Don't forget we have a due date of September 18th for all the RSVP to be in end by.  They are coming in a study stream, but 55% is still not received.

After a long labor, one I'm sure Lauren will hear about whenever she acts up.  Rochelle Prestage at 2:26pm on September 28th gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.  She has been named Lauren Nicole Prestage.  Mother and child are doing fine, and Jay is hanging in there.
