On a deeper level, Macropodus is an intelligent dragon, and very observant. He has a way with seeing through lies, and he can read people's emotions like a book. He is good at hiding his reactions to these things, and most people get the sense that he is rather cold. In reality, Macro is a thoughtful and somewhat sensitive dragon... especially when it comes to being a part of a group. He likes to fit in, he has all his life, having grown up with other Sii'Tonaa... and it is with them that any friend of Macro will see all his pretences dropped.

With the Sii'Tonaa, Macro always has a smile on his face and a joke on the tongue. He likes to make people smile, even when they don't want to, and despite his reputation to be somewhat troublesome, Macropodus is well liked by most. He is a good friend, and he has a good heart.

His earliest years were rather nondescript- the youngest creatures of the program were raised like most children, lots of play and encouragement. But while Macropodus' siblings were being raised by their bonds or the families that they had been adopted by, he was being raised by the Tonaa masters, and the Sii'Tonaa became his family, his people. Macropodus remained unbonded until he was introduced to the young Saiyan, Aireona, when they were both about 2 SFPs. Though she was a puzzlement to him- not having been entirely raised by the Sii'Tonaa as he had been- Macropodus felt an immediate affinity for the female. Not long after their first meeting, Macro and Aireona were bound to one another.

For the next 10 periods of their lives, Macro and his bond lived through the most vigorous Tonaa training that Jhiirsai has to offer... Unlike most Tonaa, who specialize in one area of energy (light, dark, the elements, etc), the graduated Sii'Tonaa is skilled in all areas. They are fearless, strong, and absolutely loyal to the Federation.

Macro graduated all of these things, and after he had finished his training, like all Sii'Tonaa, he was given guardianship of one world... the closest thing to a homeworld that any Alliance Nexus dragon has- Terra Nexu. Macropodus was well versed in the history and traditions of the world and its people... but upon arriving there Macro found that he was not welcome.

For the first time in his life, he was out of his element... Here he was, finally living with his own people and he couldn't figure them out... they couldn't figure him out. More than that, despite all he did, the Terra Nexu dragons made it clear that he wasn't wanted.

It wasn't until the Siisakoo arrived on the planet, and Macro finally had the chance to exercise all his training that he got any kind of warmth from the populace of Terra Nexu. Of course, saving the planet and everyone on it from 'Koo invasion had something to do with it- but Macro isn't about to let a chance of getting to better know his people pass him by. However, convincing them that he isn't a Jhiirsaiian spy is going to take a lot more doing than showing them that he is a hero... but Macro is up to the challenge, as he always has been.
