Zane's name
hasn't always been Zane. He was once known as Zell and in the
earliest version, he was known as Kyle. Jared Padalecki,
also, wasn't the first role-playing person. Al
Santos of 'Grosse Pointe' was. The change was made
because... why was the change made, I wonder??? Hee... |

 |
Marie was
initially role-played by Alyssa
Milano (Phoebe of 'Charmed'), then replaced by Alyson
Hannigan (Willow of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer') and
was finally banked by Anna Paquin.
I omitted Alyssa because I simply didn't like her, and Alyson
because she looks a little too old to be the 'younger cousin
of Zane'. |

 |
Before Jessica
Alba, Katherine Pryde was actually role-played by
my all-time-favorite Sandra Bullock
(Grace Hart of 'Miss Congeniality').
Then, the role was shortly played by Buffy's brown-belt star Sarah
Michelle Gellar. Jessica won the role because I
felt that somehow, Sarah wasn't quite right for the role while
Sandra was too mature-looking. Also, the characters Kit and
Zack need to share a certain kind of romance that I saw
between Jessica Alba and William
Gregory Lee in TV series "Dark Angel". |

 |
Before the
birth of the character Zoe Matthews (role-played by Alexis
Bledel), there was Kurt Wagner a.k.a. Nightcrawler,
role-played by Roswell's star Jason
Behr. Also, Kurt used to the
Whitelighter, not Kit. I omitted the character
because he was too gay and cries too much. :Þ However, he was
recently brought back, but only as a guest-starring role. |

 |
Supporting
character Tyler Webb's name was initially Benson Webb, and was
role-played by Charlie
Weber (Ben of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'), then by
Korean star Won Bin
(Han Tai Xi of 'Endless Love'). Tyler is now role-played by
Brazilian actor Rodrigo
Santoro ("Charlie's Angels: Full
Throttle", "Love Actually"). I forgot why I omitted
Charlie Weber, but I do know that I omitted Won Bin because he was
Asian -.-" Looks weird in an all-western cast. |

 |
Marie's
full name, 'Marie Laveau', is
actually the name of the powerful Voodoo practitioner mentioned in
Charmed book: "Voodoo Moon". X-Men's Rogue's real name
is 'Marie D'Ancanto'. |

 |
The
names of the Warren brothers, Zack
and Zane, are also the names
of the X5 brothers in FOX's "Dark Angel". |

 |
'Charmed
Evolution' was initially just the website's name.
Almost nobody knew that the original name of the fanfiction was 'Gregory's
Gazette a.k.a. X-Men the Story'. After that,
everything was just promptly named after the website's name. |

 |
Paige
Matthews, Prue,
Piper and Phoebe Halliwell (all from
"Charmed"), were once
featured in the fanfiction. They were cancelled off when we
realized that there were too many characters and the plot was
getting more and more complicated. However, they will be
featured in chapter "Sister Syndrome" as the new Charmed Ones'
ancestors. Spoiler for that chapter: Prue will be
meeting Paige for the first time. And guess what?
She's not so thrilled about it. |
>> CHARMED (TV SERIES)
 |
In
"Charmed", Phoebe Halliwell's power was often referred
to as 'premonition'. However, I find that 'psychometry' would
have been more appropriate. Psychometry is the ability to
gather information on people or events by touching some object
that was present at the time. This would be a better
description of her power in earlier seasons of
"Charmed". In later seasons, she can even
get visions in her sleep.
|

 |
Each 'orbing' process costs about US$3000 to make. This
explains why Holly Marie Combs
feels that the food on the set tastes awful. She has been the producer
of "Charmed" since year 2002.
|

 |
The Halliwell Manor was actually featured in the comedy film "Deuce
Bigalow: Male Gigolo" as Tina - the freakishly tall woman's
home.
|

 |
Once, Holly shattered a mirror on the set without even
touching it. The crew thought there and then that she really was a
witch! *or maybe this was how they came up with Piper's exploding
power?*
|

 |
Rumours have it that Alyssa
Milano actually paid to have her appear first in the
opening credits from season four onwards. Talk about crying out loud.
|

 |
In the Season Five finale, Piper will be 'losing' Leo
when he becomes an Elder. A new Whitelighter called Chris, acted by Drew
Fuller, will be assigned to the Charmed Ones as their new
Whitelighter for Season Six. It is soon revealed that Chris may be
evil and he is actually half-Whitelighter, half witch. |

 |
Holly
Marie Combs (Piper) herself is pregnant
with her longtime boyfriend David Donoho's child! The baby is
expected to arrive in April 2004, and her pregnancy will be written
into the script of "Charmed". And here's the real
shocker... remember Chris the supposedly-bad Whitelighter who came
from the future? He is actually Piper's youngest son a.k.a.
Wyatt's little brother. |

Rose McGowan is only
contracted to the end of the sixth season so there is no guarantee
that she will return after that. She is quoted as saying: "Even
if "Charmed" goes seven years, it will still only be three
for me," she says. "I like the get-in, get-out thing. My
attention span doesn't last that long!" An online survey shows
that Rose's character (Paige) is not as popular as Shannen's (Prue).
That was because Rose had a really bad start in the show. People hated
her and felt that she wasn't qualified enough to replace Shannen. It
was only until several episodes later when people said, "Hey!
She's not that bad."
Recently, Alyssa
Milano's mother confirmed with the press that the three girls
have signed on for a seventh season of "Charmed". So looks like
the rumors of Rose staying on for only three seasons are just rumors after
all.
The
unaired pilot of "Charmed" was originally cast with Lori
Rom playing Phoebe, but something came up and Lori did not
take the part. That was where Alyssa Milano
came in, casted to play the role of young and carefree Phoebe
Halliwell.
I've watched the unaired
pilot and discovered some things that are different from the real
first episode. Although some things were added on (such as the
pharmacy scene and Inspector Daryl Morris), nearly all of the script
lines are the same. The role of Andy Trudeau was originally played by Chris
Boyd, and not T.W. King.
The unaired pilot was
filmed in the real manor, where it was obviously much different and
smaller. You can see that by comparing the length and size of the
front hallway and the parlor. The manor we see in each and every
episode of "Charmed" is a film set. The Book of Shadows was
different too - a lot more simple and plain looking. Rather than the
realistic vanquishing of Jeremy in the real episode, Jeremy turned
into a serpent-like creature in the unaired pilot.

There
was much speculation as to whether Shannen
Doherty (Prue) quit the show or was
fired. What's
the real story behind the mess over at WB's Charmed? Simple
enough: an ongoing, vicious and sometimes childish catfight
between two of the witchy leads, Alyssa Milano
(Phoebe) and Shannen Doherty. Things got so bad that a
mediator was called in. Co-star Holly Marie Combs
(Piper) tried to
intervene; no luck. Everything came to a head when Milano
objected to having Shannen direct her in the season finale.
When producers told her to go back to work. Milano delivered
an ultimatum: "It's me or her." Instead of fighting,
Shannen quits. Says one source, "It gets them press for an
aging show, allows them to bring in a new young star, and it
gets one of them off the set."
According to Alyssa, Shannen was a very hard person to work with. Just
about everyone on the set has had enough of her. However, according to
Shannen, Alyssa was indignant of the fact that Shannen actually got to
direct 3 episodes. And instead of continuing with the fight, Shannen
took the high road by quitting the show. "I don't want to work
with people who bitch about their job," she quotes. "Let's
just say that it wasn't like I walked in one day and said, 'I
quit.' It was a very long process of quitting the show. Aaron
got as fed up with me as I was with the show, and I think it
was because the notoriety was too much. People were hating the
character and I couldn't take the abuse that came with that."
