OFF ROAD PATROL
Allegiance: Autobot (Micromasters)
Members: Highjump , Mudslinger (leader), Powertrain, Tote
Function: Covert operations
"The ends justify our means."

Strength: 6 Intelligence: 9 Speed: 8 Endurance: 7
Rank: 5 Courage: 5 Firepower: 9 Skill: 10

History: They were one of the first Micromasters to be produced, along with their friends the Race Car Patrol. In the summer of 1989, they were teleported to Earth to bolster the Autobot ranks after the Underbase-powered Starscream had deactivated a large amount of the Autobot's. They immediately ended up in a battle w/ the Race Car Patrol against the Decepticon Pretenders. They survived the first coming of Unicron and avoided the battle against Jhiaxus completely, but then they were sent to get a new Matrix in the area known as the Acid Wastes. This simple mission ended in the brutal deaths of the Race Car, Sports Car, Military and Race Track Patrols and Skyhopper, and the destruction of the Off Road Patrol's bodies. This, added to their experiences in the nightmarish Quintesson concentration camps in the Eugenesis War of 2013, left a severe psychological mark on them. They were hired by Star Saber when he came to power in 2014 for the purpose of covertly disposing of any threats to his rule.

Profile: A quartet of Autobot rebels,  they contained a rebellious streak and contempt for their larger brethren early in their lives. The battle in the Acid Wastes in 1995 changed this- they saw their allies die horribly and suffered severe wounds, and this left a mark. They grew bitter, and started to view everything as expendable when it came to the job. Now they view the mission as the only important thing in the world, and will do anything to complete it.

Abilities: Designed to be totally silent in vehicle mode. Not only are their engines silent, but anti-gravity devices in their wheels cause them to hover 1 inch off the ground when moving, so as not to be given away by friction noise. They use sniper rifles and have deadly accuracy, and have access to the most up-to-date weaponry & equipment. Small Sidewinder missiles can be fired from their sides in car mode, and they contain powerful cloaking devices that render them invisible. Mudslinger can emit a blinding cloud of smog, and Highjump has the power to leap incredible distances.

Weaknesses:  They are plagued by memories of the Acid Wastes battle and are terrified of death. Sonic attacks can screw up their cloaking fields.

ARCHFORCE
Allegiance: Decepticon
Function: Gladiator
"My identity is my own."

History: Archforce was created by Decepticon scientist Junkbox from the corpse of Straxus' Megatron clone and Megatron's G2 tank armour, and spent 300 years fighting in illegal gladiatorial matches across the known universe under the name of "Megatron"- he has yet to be defeated in combat. In 2340, he entered the Decepti-Kombat tournament; here he got rid of Junkbox, defeated Squeezeplay, Banzai-Tron & Twin Twist, battled Sunstreaker to a standstill, and was captured & imprisoned by Galvatron.

Profile: Archforce is a fusion of Straxus' and Megatron's (circa 1986) personalities. Nobody knows how much of him is Straxus, Megatron or something completely new. He is an unbalanced individual, unsure of his past or identity. He hates being associated with Megatron and the fact that all his gladiatorial conquests were done under the banner of "Megatron" rather than Archforce, but subconsciously wants to prove himself to be the true successor of Megatron. He is haunted by the memories of the Megatron clone and his own identity crisis- fighting is the only thing that can ease his mind. He is a bloodthirsty combatant and extremely arrogant, believing himself to be the strongest Transformer of all.

Abilities: Archforce wields the same physical strength as the original Megatron along with the defences & stamina of Megatron's G2 Mega-Pretender armour. He can fly in short bursts, transform into a purple 20th Century US army tank and his cannon can fire a blast reaching up to 17 kilometres with enough force to level a small town. He wields the power to excite electrons and implode neutrons in spectacular fashion, though here he must rely on his battle armour to protect himself from his own blast.

Weaknesses: He has no physical weaknesses.

ULTRA MAGNUS
Allegiance: Autobot
Sub-groups: Triple Changer, Wrecker
Function: Warrior, Autobot City: Earth Commander (2003-2012), Autobot Leader (2005-2006), Captain of the spaceship Argo, Head of Security on Cybertron (24th Century), Cybertronian Defence Force member (2386-?)
"Consistency is victory."

History: Ultra Magnus was created in 1986 by the Matrix Flame, a vessel containing a fragment of the Matrix's life-giving powers. He was designed to be powerful, an all-out warrior who could play the critical part of Operation: Volcano (a mission to kill off the deadliest Decepticons)- holding off any Decepticon re-enforcements whilst the Wreckers dealt with the Mayhem Attack Squad. However, he was sent to Earth just before the mission to investigate the disappearance of Optimus Prime- here he encountered the time-travelling Galvatron for the first time, and the two fought the first of many battles. In 1987 he went to Earth permanently and fought Galvatron again, who was trying to siphon power for himself from an erupting volcano, which would end up destroying the West Coast of America- the two of them ended up trapped in the volcano's magma. While Magnus and Galvatron survived and Magnus was rescued by the Sparkabots, it took a heavy toll on the Autobot and he ended up retreating into his mind; he broke free of this problem to finally stand up to Galvatron and deliver a knock-out blow to the Decepticon. He returned to Cybertron with the Sparkabots and here fought the mad scientist Flame and his zombie army in Kalis, before shutting down an alien gladiatorial arena run by Zabra, which was using captured Autobots in deathmatches.

Soon afterwards, Zabra kidnapped Magnus and took him to Sindrecca to be his new champion gladiator. Meeting an elderly Autobot, Pixon, on Sindrecca, Magnus escaped Zabra, only to reach the planet Quiescent, in the grip of a time storm connected to the Transformers. With the destruction of the planet, Magnus fled with both Zabra and Pixon dead. The humans of the planet and Magnus were rescued by Optimus Prime, but Magnus’ injuries were very severe. Severe enough in fact for Xaaron to construct a clone of Magnus to take his place as Autobot Earthforce leader – upon the destruction of the clone, the true Ultra Magnus, unexpectedly fully recovered, took charge.

Ultra Magnus ended up Commander of Autobot City: Earth, and it fell to him to defend the city against an onslaught of Decepticons in 2005. The battle ended with the death of Optimus Prime, and Ultra Magnus was given the Matrix and made Autobot Leader. He later gave this role up to Rodimus Prime, for whom he became a trusted advisor and travelled back in time with him during the Time Wars, along with several others; on the way back, they ended up in the Dark Universe, a parallel universe where time travel had never been invented. He helped the Autobots of that world fight, only to see Cybertron destroyed and the Decepticons triumphant- his group eventually returned to their own home.

Things took a sharp turn for Magnus in 2013 when the Quintessons invaded the planet, and he discovered the true origins of the Transformers; they had been created by the Quintessons as slaves. Their god Primus was revealed to be P.R.I.M.U.S., a Quintesson computer system used to bring the Transformers to life and Unicron had been a computer virus; added to this, Magnus ended up granted some of P.R.I.M.U.S' power, allowing him to heal any wound, which he maintained for a long while. When he made their true origins public, he inadvertently started a new religion- the Reductionists, who worshipped the Quintessons as gods and viewed Magnus as a prophet. Disgusted with this and the corrupt government of new Autobot Leader Star Saber, he took a small crew of Autobots and left the planet, piloting an independent ship known as the Argo and doing work for the Yerril sector. Unfortunately, the Argo encountered a race known as the Baf-Clan in 2357, who'd lost their planet to the Cybertronian Empire and had declared war on the Yerril sector and all Transformers in retaliation- thought Magnus tried to deal with them diplomatically, his efforts were dashed when Star Saber unleashed a full-scale assault on the Baf-Clan, massacring more than half their population.

In the year 2359, he and a small group of Artis Academy students attempted to get as many humans as possible off Earth, as Star Saber was Cyberforming it (this was later used as a dumping ground for Maximal/Predacon Neogens, who were brainwashed to believe they were on the real Cybertron); Magnus wiped the memories of this from his student's minds. In 2360, he fought in the final battle against Galvatron, finally defeating him with the help of the newly resurrected Optimus Prime. In 2386, Ultra Magnus ran Security on Cybertron and was in contact with Decepticon Second-in-command Soundwave. He ended up being manipulated by Star Saber into believing he was Scrounge re-incarnate and this led to events that had him arrested as a murderer. He was made to join the Cybertronian Defence Force, along with his old students- the CDF were a group of fugitives deliberately kept far from Cybertron and used to stop Neogens from escaping the faux Cybertron and reaching the real one. Magnus was granted a new body and came under the command of Fire Convoy, and the group ended up travelling to an alternate reality where BWMegatron had succeeded in killing Optimus Prime.

Profile: Ultra Magnus is all soldier, and most comfortable when carrying out orders by the likes of Optimus Prime. He possesses magnificent courage and battlefield improvisational skills, and while he is uncomfortable with the rank of Commander, he puts up a strong front to those under his command. He is always willing to sacrifice himself for the lives of innocents and his own troops. In recent years, he has become more cynical and bitter, and mourns the loss of Autobot values- he himself sticks religiously to the Autobot Code, always trying to avoid bloodshed and protect people.

Abilities: He carries a laser rifle and a missile launcher with 38 kilometre range. He transforms into a car carrier with a cab identical to Optimus Prime's, which converts to a small, weaker white replica of Prime, while his trailer acts as a battle station. He hardly uses these modes, however, usually combining the two to form his larger principle robot form. He is extremely powerful and can even survive being submerged in molten lava. His new "God Magnus" mode in the Cybertronian Defence Force commands similar strength, along with a ranged laser weapon called the "Blue Bolts" and the ability to combine with Fire Convoy to form a larger, more powerful unit.

Weaknesses: Ultra Magnus has no physical weaknesses, but is known for putting himself in danger in order to save other's lives.

STAR SABER
Allegiance: Autobot
Function: Liege Centuro (4, 000, 000-2013), Ruler of Cybertron (2014-late 31st Century)
"Total control is necessary."

History: Star Saber was a former gladiator from Iacon and joined  Jhiaxus & the other original members of the Cybertronian Empire in leaving Cybertron, and he ended up ruling a large sector of the Empire; his sector was dubbed "the Legion of New Cybertron". He was a warrior, trained by the mighty Dark Convoy, and constantly searching for a worthy challenge for his army. When the Liege Maximo was killed, he became involved in the civil war between the various ex-Imperial factions; in 1998, he became an ally of the Autobots after meeting with a shuttlecraft headed by Prowl.

In 2014, the Autobots called him for help after the Eugenesis War, and offered him a position in High Command in exchange for aid. His resources repaired Cybertron. Eventually, when Rodimus Prime became incapacitated, he became a joint-leader of Cybertron w/ Springer and later the total ruler. Under his rule, had the Autobots take back all the areas of the planet that the Decepticons held. He turned Cybertron into a dictatorship, deciding the only way it would prosper would be for it to be under his TOTAL control. This eventually corrupted him. As ruler, he watched the planet be nearly destroyed in the Software Wars and became part of the small group fighting against it; he also was responsible for Ultra Magnus being made to join the Cybertronian Defence Force and the Cyberforming of Earth, just to piss off Prime. He crushed any hint of rebellion without mercy and removed all obstacles in his path to total control, such as Springer. He once tried to pacify his subjects through entertainment, but after the Decepti-Kombat tournament nearly resulted in a new, more powerful Decepticon movement being created, he has given up that sort of thing.

In the 31st Century, he was usurped by Shokaract. He and his army were forced to flee the planet; trusted aide Great Shot was killed and Head of Planetary Security Sideswipe was captured. Star Saber now schemes to regain his planet, and is assembling a vast intergalactic alliance against Shokaract.

Profile:  Star Saber started off as a bushido-style warrior, craving challenges and worthy opponent; he was active, he was skilled, he was noble. Then he gained control of Cybertron, and rebuilt it by gaining a Fascist control of it. He passed law after law and had Autobot after Autobot killed in order to maintain this control "for the greater good"; inevitably, he was corrupted and became a cold, bureaucratic dictator. As several have noticed, the Autobots finally won the war under Star Saber by effectively becoming just like the Decepticons. He shows an aura of power and clinical force, but the rise of Shokaract has effected him badly- he is now obsessive over regaining Cybertron, and will stop at nothing to do it, no matter the consequences. And those consequences could be very severe for him indeed...

Abilities: Star Saber is skilled in many different forms of martial arts, easily the equal of warriors like Bludgeon. He wields a vicious sword that is sharp enough to slice through the thickest armour. He transforms into a Cybertronian jet armed with powerful air-to-air missiles and cluster bombs. A little known fact is that the mighty Star Saber is a Brainmaster- his giant form contains a regular sized Transformer, and inside the regular-sized Transformer is a Micromaster; if he was ever placed in severe risk, his inner Micromaster would be granted all of Star Saber's data and be ejected in order to escape the threat. This allowed him to survive an assassination attempt during the Software Wars. He can combine with his ally Victory Leo to become a more powerful unit named Victory Saber.

Weaknesses: He has no physical weaknesses when inside his shell, but his Micromaster form is brittle. Star Saber will do anything for power now, and this has caused great resentment among the populace, and also the Decepti-Kombat fiasco. Now he is exiled, he is burning with a rage that cause him to do many dangerous & irrational actions.

GALVATRON

Allegiance: Decepticon
Function: Decepticon Leader: 2005-2006, 2009-24th Century
"My power is everything; defeat is absurd!."

History: Galvatron was created from the dying Megatron by Unicron, and made to be Unicron's servant. Galvatron didn't like the idea of being Unicron's slave so, after taking control of the Decepticons and killing Starscream, he took Cyclonus & Scourge and time-travelled back to the year 1986, where he knocked Megatron & Soundwave unconscious and commandeered the Constructicons to build for him a powerful solar cannon on the site of the future Autobot City: Earth. Once he went back to 2006, the device would be triggered and would fire on Unicron, destroying him and obliterating Autobot City in the process. He ran into opposition from the Autobots of that era and a disgruntled Megatron, and also clashed with Ultra Magnus. He was finally thwarted when Hot Rod, Kup and Blurr time-jumped from 2006 (under the subliminal control of Unicron), destroyed the cannon and tricked Galvatron into believing he'd killed Starscream & therefore was in a parallel dimension, where nothing he did would alter his personal future. He went back to 2006 and fought the future Ultra Magnus & his Autobot forces. He succeeded in stealing the Matrix from Ultra Magnus but was defeated by it when it transformed Hot Rod into the mighty Rodimus Prime. Galvatron was defeated and used the time-jump device to go hide in 1987.

Here he tried to absorb the powers of an erupting volcano to become a demi-god, but was thwarted by, again, his hated enemies Ultra Magnus and Rodimus Prime, along with Goldbug, the time-travelling Wreck-Gar, Blurr, Kup and bounty hunter Death's Head. Galvatron ended up imprisoned with Ultra Magnus in molten lava for a while- upon freeing himself, he attempted to gain control of the Decepticons from current commander Shockwave. Shockwave retaliated by sending the Straxus-Megatron clone after him, but Galvatron convinced the clone to join him. The two of them ended up fighting against an army of Autobots & Decepticons in the "Time Wars", in which a Timestorm caused by Cyclonus' deactivation & the future Decepticon's very presence threatened to destroy the world; Galvatron ended up hurled into the Timestorm, where he was thrown, badly wounded, into 2009.

Once back in the future, he took command of the Decepticons from Soundwave. He ended up being captured by the Third Power, a group of super-powered neutrals out to destroy both Autobot & Decepticon, but he fought his way free. Ultimately though, he ended up driving the Decepticons into the ground- they lost Cybertron & were forced into hiding in cloaked satellites & underground bases, many Decepticons left completely, he lost Ravage to Nanobot leader Overlord (after Overlord was defeated, Ravage came back) and many important decisions ended up being made by Soundwave. Galvatron eventually made one last ditch attempt- the manufacturing of an army of Warworlds! However, he was betrayed by Soundwave and defeated by the combined efforts of Ultra Magnus & a newly resurrected Optimus Prime. At some point, Galvatron disappeared and his original form, Megatron, returned. Nobody knows how this happened.

There was another version on Galvatron existing, one from a parallel universe where he owned the Matrix, Cybertron had been destroyed and the Decepticons ruled the American continents. This Galvatron was in a position to rule the world, but was thwarted when Unicron removed him from his timeline to the year 1990 (in our timeline) and forced him to act as his Herald by killing any possible threat to his coming on Cybertron. This Galvatron rebelled and woke up Primus, who then summoned all Transformers to Cybertron for the battle. After the battle, Galvatron snuck onboard the Ark, where he fought Megatron briefly before forging an alliance with him... right before the craft crashed into Earth. Galvatron, enraged, stormed out and tore apart the Canadian army before being stopped by Fortress Maximus.

Galvatron II managed to sneak on board the Ark again in 1993, only to accidentally repair a number of deactivated Autobots and get captured. He was released in a prisoner exchange between Starscream and Red Alert- Starscream tried to control him, but failed. Galvatron II took control of the Decepticons and destroyed the Autobot's Earthbase before being driven away by Ultra Magnus and finally killed by his reality's Rodimus Prime, who'd travelled dimensions to capture him.

Profile: Galvatron is sadistic, ambitious, arrogant, compassionless and insane- all traits of Megatron but enhanced to the point that he is often wrecking his own plans- he has wrecked machinery crucial to his plots while fighting Autobots and has even shot his own troops if they ticked him off. While he is counter-productive as leader, few Decepticons dare to challenge him for fear of being slaughtered by him. For all these faults, Galvatron is still a danger to all Autobots and even his own Decepticon troops- he tore apart enemy after enemy before finally reverting back to Megatron.

Abilities: He is the most powerful Transformer for his size- literally one punch is enough to pulverise most Autobot armour, and he has survived direct hits from the strongest of Autobot weapons & being buried in molten lava. Galvatron transforms into a devastating particle-beam cannon, the barrel of which is accessible in robot mode as well & runs off internal power. One close-range, full power blast of his particle-beam cannon was enough to turn Starscream to ash. He also wields a gun that fires chemically-produced direct-current electricity, but he hardly uses this.

Weaknesses: His madness and trigger-happy nature are constantly defeating him- because of this, Soundwave has sometimes covertly assumed control in times of crisis in order to avoid Galvatron screwing it up.

CARNIVAC
Allegiance: Autobot (ex Decepticon)
Sub-groups: Pretender Beast, Mayhem Reserves, Survivors, Earthforce
Function: Hunter/tracker, former Mayhem Reserves Leader
"A cunning smile is more devastating than the fiercest weapon."

History: Carnivac was the leader of the Mayhem Reserves, who were promoted to the status of Mayhem Attack Squad after the old squad disbanded. He co-led the Wrecker/Mayhem dual mission to stop Galvatron in 1989- it resulted in only him and his friend Catilla being left online out of the entire squad. Now stuck on Earth, he did some work for Scorponok along w/ Snarler in return for Pretender shell disguises for him and Catilla- the "work" in question was killing Spike Witwicky, Headmaster component of Fort Max. The mission failed, but Carnivac kept the Pretender shells anyway. Believing they'd be stuck on Earth for a while, he sought out the remaining Wreckers (Springer, Broadside and Inferno- also stranded) and proposed that they form their own group of "Survivors", ignoring the Civil War and concentrating on surviving on Earth. They agreed, and also added Skids to their group, but Carnivac & Catilla were threatened with death by Snarler for deserting the Predacons.

They ended up on Cybertron during the Unicron battle of 1991, but quickly returned to Earth afterwards, where they continued to covertly save humans from non-Transformer incidents. Carnivac eventually tired of this, viewing it as "no fun", and left the group- in doing so, he ended up cornered by the new Mayhem Attack Squad, specifically created to assassinate him. He fought bravely until the other Survivors came to his aid, but Catilla ended up being taken offline by Bludgeon. Carnivac went off on his own, vowing revenge. A few months later, he caught up with the Mayhems and slew Needlenose, Spinister and Snarler. The Earthforce came to his aid, and he & the other Survivors joined them- Earthforce medics ended up bringing Catilla back online.

Carnivac dropped out of the public eye after this, but kept in tough with the Wreckers and his old Survivors buddies- in particular, he ended up striking up a relationship with ex-Wrecker Whirl, and through him ended up involved in the Software Wars of 2299.

Profile: Carnivac is always after fun and excitement- he loves the thrill of battle and is always smiling in combat. He's a growling, howling, mad-dog destroyer... or WAS, until the Time Wars and his desertion. Now he is wiser and while he still craves battles, he views it as only worthwhile if it's to protect those who can't protect themselves. There is one exception to this rule- if you harm his friends, he will not rest until you are dead.

Abilities: In robot mode, he can use an anti-thermal cannon with infra-red scope that can freeze a target in seconds- in both robot & wolf modes, he fires high-intensity laser beams. His Pretender shell is a great new addition to his arsenal- it contains sophisticated tracking systems (augmenting Carnivac's already considerable tracking systems), can take 3 times the damage his normal alt form can, has built-in hydraulic lifters that allow him to jump over 150 metres and has attached to it a powerful cannon. His shell was blown apart in 1992, but was later repaired.

Weaknesses: Any pain felt by the shell is felt by Carnivac- destruction of the shell can almost fry his brain. Carnivac has little skill or patience for strategies and is therefore an unsuitable leader.

Full frontal Xaaron!! Woo!

History: Xaaron originally taught at the Autobot Academy of Science with Flame, but eventually quit this job to take up a career in politics. Xaaron was the most pro-active member of the Autobot High Council during the war, and managed to convince them to hand over control of the army to a young Optimus Prime. After Prime and the Ark vanished, the Council took over again and soon Iacon was surrounded by Decepticon troops. While the Council sued for peace (and promptly got executed), Xaaron took several hundred choice Autobots with him into the tunnels underneath Iacon, where he'd set up several bases just in case they were ever needed. His plan was to fight a guerrilla war against the Decepticon enemy.

In the latter half of the 80s, Xaaron supervised the construction of the spacecraft known as the Thunder Raider and Operation Volcano, a plan to kill off the current Mayhem Attack Squad as a spearhead for a united Autobot uprising. He used the Matrix Flame to create the Autobot Triple Changers and Ultra Magnus to help assist the Wreckers in this- they would hold off any Decepticon re-enforcements while the Wrecker's handled the Mayhems. The time was right- Straxus was crippled, Darkmount had been badly damaged, the warlord Scorponok had disappeared with a large contingent of troops and it was discovered that Prime was alive and well on the planet Earth. However, the plan was ruined when Megatron called several of the Mayhems to Earth, causing the group to turn back before the Wreckers got to fire one shot. A few months later, Xaaron ended up coming face-to-face with his old student Flame, who planned to fire an old nuclear reactor under Kalis in the hope that he could use it to steer Cybertron through the universe- in reality, it would destroy the planet. Xaaron stalled him until the Wreckers could get there and stop Flame.

After this, Xaaron mostly took the role of overseer, supervising the creation of the Micromasters and planning strategies for his troops, though he did get involved directly in the battle against the Demons by working out that they could be killed by eating pure Energon. When it became apparent Unicron was on his way to Cybertron, Xaaron deployed two teams of Autobots to find the Matrix; his attempt at further actions against the coming of Unicron were wrecked when Galvatron, Hook, Line and Sinker attacked his base. Galvatron convinced Xaaron that only Primus could stop Unicron, by summoning all the Transformers to Cybertron- Xaaron managed to wake Cybertron and was possessed by him. While his body was destroyed by Unicron, he was already dead, his mind having been seared away by Primus' presence.

Profile: Xaaron is one of the oldest living Autobots, and one of the wisest. While not a combatant like Prime, he is still arguably the greatest leader the Autobots have had in a long time. He unceasingly planned to retake Cybertron from the Decepticons and kept the Autobot spirit alive for millions of years of tyranny. Xaaron is pragmatic and will take tough decisions if need be- he ordered the destruction of the Micromaster Battle Patrol in order to prevent Micromaster technology being gained by the Decepticons. When needs must, he will go into the line of fire himself in order to make sure a mission is pulled off successfully.

Abilities: Xaaron contains highly versatile vocal emitters with sub-sonic, ultra-sonic, echo and voice-throwing capabilities. He used to be able to transform into a hover tank with a one-kilometre range turret blaster. Arguably his greatest ability is his high intelligence.

Weaknesses: Xaaron is so old he can't transform- the shock to his system would kill him. He can't fight and his endurance is very low.

(Taken from an earlier profile by Gavin Merrifield)

History: Lord Straxus rose to power within the Decepticon ranks upon the departure of the Second Generation Decepticons from Cybertron.  Despite being a member of the Decepticon Council, reporting only to Lord Trannis, he was abandoned on Cybertron along with all other Decepticons deemed "unfit" for the future of the Decepticons at the will of Jhiaxus, Trannis' successor.

Despite this obvious insult he was still charged with eliminating the last of the Autobot Resistance from Cybertron.  It gave him a perfect opportunity to vent his anger over his abandonment onto something he could so easily dominate.  Not only that but Straxus soon found he liked being a cruel, sadistic tyrant, a trait he relishes to this day.  Plus he got to rule a planet. He hoped to leave the planet, find Jhiaxus and kill him for the insult, but he ended up staying on Cybertron, kept there by a variety of problems, ranging from civil war with Scorponok to Autobot rebellions.

In the year 1986, he captured a neutralist scientist called Spanner and used his knowledge & body to create the Interdimensional Space Bridge, allowing the Decepticons to travel to other worlds in an instant- providing they had the co-ordinates. He received a message from Earth, sent by Soundwave, and planned for an invasion of the planet. This was thwarted by the efforts of Blaster and his fellow rebels, who damaged the Bridge badly and destroyed Straxus' body. The warlord's head was placed in stasis, and he continued to rule the planet until Megatron arrived. Megs, unlike the others, wasn't scared of Straxus and openly sneered at his decapitated state. Straxus realised Megatron was a threat, and so attempted to transfer his mind into Megatron's body. It worked- but Megatron WASN'T transferred out! The two minds battled for supremacy, driving them insane. Megatron was sent back to Earth- however, Straxus' mind someone fled, leaving Megatron alone (and severely unhinged).

Straxus had a contingency plan- he'd had a replica of Megatron built (from the body of a Decepticon technician), and transferred his mind into that. His technicians learned that Megatron had died in a Space Bridge accident, and so had the cloned body teleported to London & made to look like it had ended up there because of the accident. However, Straxus had taken programming from Megatron when he'd fled, and that programming took control of the clone form; Straxus believed himself to be the REAL Megatron, and once more their minds battled, causing him to rampage through London. He was defeated and later salvaged by Shockwave, who wanted to reprogram Megatron 2 into his slave to fight Galvatron. His efforts resulted in a final battle between the two minds, and "Megatron" was triumphant. This proved to be a problem when Megatron II joined with Galvatron, believing that that was his way to glory. When witnessing the future Decepticon's madness, he decided to go to Cybertron instead- he stole the Mayhem Attack Squad's craft and went home, where he usurped the ruling Decepticon Triumvirate.

Unfortunately, the clone was plagued by memories of the technician he was built from, and then the ORIGINAL Megatron returned, out to kill his impostor. The two fought, giving Straxus the opportunity to retake control of the body. Megatron II tried to push him back, with help from the original, but after finding out he'd never be free of Straxus, he blew his own head off, killing them both. The body was later rebuilt was Archforce.

Profile: Straxus is simply a tyrant.  Evil to the core, he shares the same disregard for non-Transformer life as most other Decepticons, but he doesn't even value the lives of the troops he commands and has been known to order savage experiments on his own followers. His physical presence only adds to the fear his enemies have of him.  Behind his imposing presence lies the mind of a cold, calculating individual.  Sometimes he can be rash to act, but so confident of his position of power he allows minor transgressions and rebellions to go unnoticed, but if his patience is tried too much, he is swift to administer punishment.

Being left behind after the Decepticons left Cybertron has left Straxus angry and vengeful and it is partially this that drives him so passionately in his relentless pursuit of the remaining Autobots on Cybertron. When becoming Megatron II, he grew insane and violent, lashing out randomly at everything in his path.

Abilities: Straxus can convert into a giant flying cannon of nearly unparalleled destructive potential.  While limited in its manoeuvrability it is heavily armoured and resistant to all but nuclear firepower. In robot mode he wields an multi-pointed axe.  The axe emits a plasma field which generates temperatures in its immediate area of tens of thousands of degrees, more than sufficient to cut through any Autobot or obstacle in the path of Straxus.  He posses great strength and a currently unmatched level of endurance enabling Straxus to do more damage and last longer in a fight. As Megatron II, he has the same abilities as the original Megatron.

Weaknesses: His robot mode is bulky by some standards and is consequently slower than some other Transformers.  His anger over his past sometimes threatens to consume him and destroy all he has worked for. As Megatron II, he is plagued by schizophrenia.
