He married Margaret Geddes in Fochabers on 22 June 1809, she died 7 February 1814.

John, b.18. 05 1810�d. 11 sept.1839, drowned in Carleton, Canada. Married Felecite Dugas daughter of Captain Hilarion Dugas, had 2 sons,
William-Henry, married to Mary-Ann Lebel, Lived in Maria Qu�bec. Their children.
James, married to Rose deLima Labrie and lived in north western U.S.A. Their children.

After his wife�s Margaret Geddes death in 1814, he married Barbara Patterson on the 03 11 1818, she died 13 aug.1852. They had the following children:
Suzan, born. 15 08 1819---died 27 06 1899, married to James Davidson. No issue.
William, born.19 01 1821�died 12 05 1905. (priest) Interred at Chapelford.
Jane, born 13 oct. 1822---died 07 11 1893, at Fochabers, spinster.
Thomas, born 17 05 1824, --- died 19 05 1899 at Fochabers. Married to Mary Martin(died at Potterton on the 16 apr.1921) they had 5 children:
Jane, or Jeanie, born12 11 1876 ---died 20 10 1963 at Aberdeen. Married to lawer Geo. Wilson, a widower with 4 children. Had no child of her own.
James, born 21 07 1878 ---died 26 02 1959 at Aberdeen. A solicitor in Aberdeen, married to � ( could be Dorothy� or�) No children.
Mary Frederica, born 22 05 1880 --- died 22 06 1947 at Aberdeen, spinster.
Thomas, born 10 12 1882 ---died � a doctor, married an English girl, lived in Oakham, Ruthland, England, his wife died in 1960, they had only one daughter, Patricia, not married.(at the time of this writing, also Thomas was still alive, if old, 84 years)
William Robert, born 26 01 1886, lived in Rome, a priest.( made the family tree in 1960.) died in Rome 19 February 1969
George, born 24 02 1825--- died 15 12 1875 at Tarong Queensland Australia. Married , had 2 children, a daughter died young, and a son Thomas, lived in Brisbane until his death in 1950 some.
Alexander, born 28 08 1827---died 06 12 1886 at Fochabers. Married Catherine Kelly in Fochabers. She died 28 nov. 1888 at Fochabers. No issue.
Barbara, born 18 06 1829 ---died 02 11 1846 at Fochabers, aged 15 years.
Robert, born 06 06 1831--- died 26 09 1906, priest.
Arthur, born 11 03 1833 --- died 01 05 1837. Infant.
Anne, born 23 07 1835--- died 03 01 1893. (sister Mary Bernard)
Charles, born 25 06 1837 ---died 25 10 1872 at Gumpie, Australia. Had 2 children, James, died 1943 and Charlotte, born 1872 ---died 1953 at� James and Charlotte were not married.
Henry, born 02 06 1840 ---died 18 09 1840 at Fochabers.
