| "Loneliness" |
| Loneliness is a desolate place. A realm out of nowhere. It's a room with no exits, No sounds, and no life. Loneliness is a belief, That no one knows me, Or is willing to see me. Does anyone really care? I've heard that silence, Felt that empty space, Walked along the path of heartache, And into the shadows of monotony. There is a harshness we all may face, Against the cold truth of reality, For which there may be no answers. But we must always reach for the light. I won't remain in this quiet existence. I don't warrant such a fate. No longer do I want this oblivion, That held me precariously close to the edge. I have fought off that madness, Stepped off the brink of darkness, And sought my way to freedom, That led to light and hope. Charlotte |
