| We said goodnight, but it's my day. I felt so empty, no words left to say. I walk alone, for no one to see. With only my tears to comfort me. I do know why, my heart is sad, Confusion and fear, I'm on the edge of mad. I walk alone, it makes no sense. My tears are a wall, it's my defense. I see the sun, begin to rise, Above the trees, and amber skies. I walk alone, not a soul but me. My tears they try to set me free. A crisp cool breeze, across my face, Diverts me from this lonely place. I walk alone, my direction blind. More tears...Is there no peace to find? Then I think of you, and it makes me smile. But I wake, and realize, that all the while, I walk alone, no mate no man, These tears are from a selfish plan. I'm afraid of you, may be hurt too much, Won't allow myself, to feel your touch. I walk alone, no hand to hold. So many tears...Am I that cold? My steps quicken, I find my way back. The path I've chosen, is shadowed black. I walk alone, it is my fate.
