The promotion exercise for NPCC Officer will be held as and
when the need arises, depending on the vacancy/status in the
Establishment. The objectives of the promotion exercise is:
a. To promote capable
officers to the next higher rank.
b. To show recognition
of the officers' work and contribution
to the Corps.
Officer for promotion to the next higher rank may be
short-listed by NPCC HQ to appear before the Promotion Board
for the interview. The qualifying period for promotion to
the rank of ASP from Inspector is a minimum of 5 years and
to the rank of DSP is 4 year.
