Second Generation Kathleen was married to Ernest Rae who was a civil engineer. She has Enid and Daphne by him. She divorces Rae and is promptly excommunicated by the Pope. The remainder of her family shuns her, to the extent of turning their heads while passing in the street. This attitude prevails for years and is not resolved until Iris and Kathleen leave postwar, post independence India in the early 1950s to settle in Britain whereupon Kathleen is granted a divorce by the church when it is revealed that Rae was a pedophile.
Before she met Rae she had met and fallen in love with Joseph Fox. Fox was a very high ranking intelligence officer, serving with MI6. Her family had not allowed a marriage to Fox as he was a Protestant. She inadvertently met him again after her divorce. In the interim, she had put herself through teacher training to support Enid and Daphne. Kathleen becomes the first female Montessori teacher in India. She couldn't afford a car so she bought herself a motorcycle with a sidecar. She was considered to be wild and irresponsible because she wore jodpurs and goggles and careened around India on her motorcycle. This was during the time she was not only divorced but an excommunicated Catholic. To spite Kathleen, Rae literally stole the girls from her through a ruse and sent them to a very strict school run by Catholic nuns, who made the childrens' lives miserable.
She married Fox and produced Noreen and Hazel. Being an intelligence officer, it was a relatively easy task for Fox to locate the girls. They were reunited with their mother and forthwith adopted by Fox as his own. The family flourished until Hazel died suddenly from complications of tuberculosis. After Hazel's death Fox was inconsolable and became a grieving alchoholic and chain smoker. He died of alchoholism and emphysema. Kathleen drove him to the hospital in her sidecar, blood gushing from his mouth. By the time they reached the hospital, the sidecar was saturated with his blood. He was dead on arrival.
Kathleen met and married Walter Cherryman who had two daughters, Cynthia and Joyce and a son Vernon from a previous marriage. Cherryman separated his children from the Fox girls who were not allowed the same priviledges as his children. The Fox girls were put in the YWCA every year while Cherryman and his family, along with Kathleen spent several months in England. The Fox girls were never allowed to go. Daphne never saw England until just before WW2. Noreen did not see England until May of 1947. Enid met her husband Bill in Calcutta and went straight to the US.

Third Generation Noreen met and married Roy in India. They moved to England at the insistence of her mother Kathleen. Nether Roy nor Noreen wanted to leave India and had the option of staying on after India's independence, but Kathleen insisted that their imminent child, conceived in Bombay, be born in England. "After all, Daphne's child was born in the US and Noreen should do the same for her child." She also insisted that Roy travel to take a teaching position.
They arrived to the coldest winter in recorded history (two feet of snow in May) coupled with 4oz. meat rations for a family of four for a week. England was on food rationing for the next three years. Their first daughter Marion did not taste sugar until the age of three. She was not alone. In 1947 Britain produced more babies than in all of recorded English history, which officially dates to 1066AD.
Noreen and Roy became teachers and moved to Stony Stratford. They produced another daughter, Susan.
Noreen married Roy Fitzroy Llewellyn, son of George Llewellyn and Unknown. Roy was born on 9 Jun 1915 in Rajistan, India and died on 31 May 1990 in Stony Stratford, England, at age 74.
