These go from oldest to newest, and are promised to get better as they go along.
Dac is the son of Amorphus and Jennifer Deleon. His birth and age was sped up as a side affect of Jenni's ability to speed up time, giving her a fast metabolism, which unstably passed to Dac. Xavier stopped him from growing past the age of 24, but then his mind still aged, it would occasionally project itself into the future, see things before they happened.
Recently Dac saved Star and Sarah Grove from dying just as he'd seen in one of his visions. By doing so he changed what he was seeing as the future and a new future came over him. He saw a horrible apocalypse caused through a chain reaction of Star and Sarah not dying. He immediately snapped when he woke up from a two day coma. Realizing that more had to die to curb this future he started in on the X-men. Thus far we know he has marked Tasuki, Ari and Salvroth from BH. His powers also seem to be peeked.
Over a month Dac had stolen a weapon from Amorphus, the weapon, a bomb as it was, was developed in Canada by a privately funded and secretly operated technology corporation. The bomb was set to explode on a nuclear level, but with a very minimal blast radius. The key weapon to this bomb was the radiation it would create, and that it was manufactured to be harmless to ordinary humans, but lethal to mutants. It was a grand scale pesticide. It's thought that Amorphus sought to reverse the affects of the bomb, so that mutants were impervious to it and humans would suffer.
When Dac had the bomb, it was set for it's original purpose, to kill all mutants in manhattan. Knowing the X-men would come, and that two of them were on his death list, he was prepared to sacrifice himself for what he believed was the lives of everyone on earth.
The X-men came and rescued the hostages, only to find them to be brain washed humans who would then attack the X-men. Dac took out DareDevil and Lazarus as well as Gwen with little effort. Amorphus showed up and Dac showed him who had control for the last time, leaving Amorphus unable to fight.
Finally it was Dac's girlfriend Sarah, a student at the Institute who'd been being trained by Amorphus to use her powers, who came to the rescue. She stopped Dac from detonating the bomb. Dac came to his senses, his madness being driven out by Sarah's voice.
It was too late to stop the bomb by remote however, and Dac did what he had to do make things right, and to save the X-men for the last time. He leapt onto the bomb, the radiation pulsating off of it. Dac ripped the bomb to pieces seconds before it could fire at a cost of his life. Amorphus picked his son's body up and carried him away as the X-men slowly retreated back to the school, not a victory for anyone.
Consequences 2/18/05
Immediately following the death of former X-man, Dac, both the X-men and Brotherhood had been laying low as they mourned.
As Brotherhood leader Amorphus took time to grieve for his lost son things had become very calm. That calm always comes before a storm.
The X-men started to work their issues out, after losing Dac and Even, they were starting to come back together again.
Amorphus decided the time had come to take up his fight again, tracking down a scientist in Boston who's new human enhancement formula had the side affect of activating latent X genes in those who's gene was dormant. Tests had shown that some people who were carriers of the X-gene, never manifested any abilities, Amorphus hoped to add to the ranks by having Athena copy the formula. He and Raji headed to Boston for the simple mission.
Lazarus was in the Danger room, training as he did, Professor Xavier appeared to him in astral form, telling him of Amorphus' plans. Lazarus and Tasuki(Impulse) boarded the Black Bird and headed for Boston.
BH got there first, killing the guards and scientists before the leading Doctor handed over the formula, then proceeded to die of a heart attack at the sight of the metal monster Amorphus in combination with Raji's mutant fear aura.
Lazarus sped into the room, swiped the formula right from Amorphus's metal talons and hurled it at Impulse. Impulse using his own super speed caught the vial and ran as instructed. Lazarus did what he could to slow them down.
The fight ended with the Brotherhood's Black Star jet chasing and damaging the Black Bird. Fortunately the X-men were able to escape.
Furious at the interference of the X-men and losing the formula, as well as nearly losing his own Black Star, Amorphus vowed that he'd no longer play by the rules of secrecy.
CNN ousted the X-men�s identities and history in a detailed report. The information had been provided by Amorphus, who had been stealing profiles of the students and X-Men all along. The X-men had never been so vulnerable.
SWAT attacked the school hard and started using their tranqs knocking kids out. They cut the power and Wade forced open the lift doors, preparing to slide down and shaft to get to the subbasement and to Cerebro. One of the captains saw him and shot him in the back many times. Wade fell all the way down the shaft and through the lift at the bottom. The students and staff did their best to fight them off, but several more were injured including Zoey and Star.
Lazarus and Xavier returned and Lazarus fought and killed the crooked operations leader. The rest of the casualties were minimum thanks to Xavier getting into Cerebro. He incapacitated the SWAT members and Lazarus took them away. Xavier stayed in Cerebro and has been working for over a day to erase the schools location from the minds of earth's humans. It's a very hard task and he's taken few breaks.
Lazarus and Regina set to work in the med labs with the other X-men and staff, by the time they found Wade at the bottom of the shaft he was completely healed. Star actually suffered clinical death. She stopped breathing and her heart stopped. Wade ordered Lazarus and Regina to move aside as he used his tk and telepathy to stimulate the brain as well as pump the heart better than CPR could. Star was brought back quickly.
A bomb went off in midtown, taking out a few floors of a building and starting a large fire. The X-men arrived on scene and started pulling people out while Wade used his sound sight to locate them. The building fell and Wade caught it while a police officer named Marcus Kane looked on. The X-men got the people out just before the building exploded on Wade and Kane. Wade somehow got clear and Marcus was saved by Tasuki.
Shocked at seeing the so-called mutant terrorists saving all those lives, and then his own. Marcus Kane could only say thank you before returning to the spot where the police regroups. He delayed the officers from moving in until the X-men could leave. He is now forced to reconsider what he believes about the mutants.
CNN however cut all the footage to still make it look like the X-men caused the accident and were perpetuating it. They interviewed a few people, the colorful ones of New York whose account of the incident did nothing to help the X-men.
(This was a large segment played once on 20/20 and then in smaller segments have been used since then. The two people in this are Kate Underwood and Political Advisor Adam Black(( Amorphus alias))
" Good evening I'm Kate Underwood. Here with me tonight is Political Advisor Adam Black. Now Mr. Black I understand you've become something of a mystery yourself. You've been traced to ties with the royal family of England, with several different branches of American armed forces. You've done work with the United Nations and your a personal friend to the President"
"Is that right?" He said with a flawless American accent. "Well it sounds so much more impressive hearing someone else say it." He joked lightly.
Kate then went right to it. "The Mutant Crisis. The media is calling it the MC in NYC"
Amorphus smiled slightly. "Oh if our ancestors could see us now, Kate." He adjusted himself in his seat.
"Exactly what is happening here, we know who these X-men are, the only thing better we could have hoped for would be to know who the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants are" Kate said. "But what is the government doing, or planning to do to solve this issue before it gets out of hand?"
"Well Kate, I'd have to say it already is out of hand. Here we are waging these different police actions in other countries, hunting down terrorist cells and we've got the two most terrifying groups right here in our own country, and make no mistake. The only difference between the X-men and The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants is a name. We have seen proof of both X-men Star Kastia and Vladislas Ionescu going back and forth between groups. This has been coming for a long time and most people aren't prepared to deal with it. I hate to be the first one to say it, but we're looking at a full fledged civil war, and that is very likely to push the rest of the world into a war against mutants. A war for freedom really. People want to feel safe and it's just not possible with people running around with this much firepower in their DNA"
"I see" Kate said as if she understood any of that. "Whats the Presidents take on al of this?"
He smiled that boyish smile, the one his true self had used so many times. "I really can't say, I'm sure the President will be addressing the issue soon enough. I'll let him tell the world."
"That�s understandable" She said, and he knew she didn't get any of this. The poor red head. She pressed onward though.
"What about the sentinels? It's been so long since they were taken out of service. Is it possible we will see their return soon?"
"As you know the Sentinels were retired for a reason. The only way they can be reactivated now is if the President orders it himself. I don't see it as being very likely to happen"
(That was the highlight of the broadcast.)
The Story for the X-men was still just as bad, CNN was making it worse as are other network news stations. The Protests were at an all time high and getting worse, two New York high school students were beaten to death after someone accused them of being mutant. DNA reports showed that they were in fact normal Homo Sapiens.
Amorphus has made a few steps towards helping mutants in the fray of all the disaster that�s going on, but he's been more reserved. He destroyed a police station to rescue Sonot, but left her outside just after that. When CJ called he changed his voice with his metal vocal chords, basically telling CJ he was someone else and that he couldn't help him..
The President has secretly requested to meet with Adam Black in person..
Remy's reason for returning was revealed. After disbanding the Thieves Guild, Remy started trying to find a way to redeem himself, realizing who he'd become. He came into contact with a very wealthy former adventurer, a man who could no longer participate in his own adventures, so he took pleasure from causing them and watching others play them out. He told Remy that he had very pivotal information that the X-men might want. It was Remy's so long as he stole 100 very specific items. Not all had value, some did, and some had more sentimental value. Remy completed the task and got the information, saying his goodbyes to Star and a rather sad but romantic goodbye to Arowen. He gave the info to Star and left town again.
Star got the info to Lazarus. Lazarus and Tasuki started going through it, translating and working things out. They learned that an eruption was caused in South Africa, caused by damage to the earths core from the SCOPE laser Amorphus had tested a few months before. They also learned that something was dug up out of the hardened magma.
Everything has a purpose, every word leads to another, every action leads to a Consequence.
Amorphus tried to assassinate the president posing as his alias, Adam Black. He was invited to meet in person with the president regarding a new way to deal with mutants. Amorphus waited for the right moment, bled to silver and started shooting. A few CIA agents died immediately and Amorphus fired for the Presidents head.
Lazarus burst through a wall and pushed the President enough to where he was just grazed, but left unconscious. With the attack foiled Amorphus made a run for New York.
A few hours later Amorphus arrived back in New York just in time to tell Charly to get into the Black Star and get out of HQ. Lazarus had apparently told them of the location.
A very angry vice President unleashed the Sentinels on New York City. They were to target mainly the Brotherhood, but to stop any mutants they found in the process.
Being on a closed system, and being such intricate technology Athena was having trouble hacking into the Sentinels. They attacked and BHHQ was completely destroyed, leaving a massive crater in the ground where it had been. Amorphus dog Akita was shot by the troops who rappelled in to capture Amorphus. He gave them a good fight, but in the end a collective blast from five sentinels (ten beams) put Amorphus down. A helicopter carried his unconscious body away.
Lazarus and Star recovered the Athena module, it was slightly damaged, but after returning it to the Xavier Institute Lazarus sat down and powered up the module. The A.I. seemed to not know what it was. Or who it was. Lazarus began talking with it, giving it a name. He called it. Minerva.
Lazarus was requested to meet secretly with the President, who wished to thank him for saving his life. The two talked about The X-men and soon enough The President found out about the Sentinels and immediately tried to call them back, it was too late.
Athena, somehow still functional even without her mainframe unit, contacted Kione and enlisted his help. Kione followed her instructions to the mark and freed a cybernetic body which Athena now controls. Kione also took on a Sentinel purposely, and planted a device on it that allowed Athena to finally hack into the Sentinels system. The Sentinels left New York and haven't shown up on radar since.
Putting it all together Lazarus pleaded for the President to let the X-men help, and to his surprise The President agreed so long as Lazarus would come back willingly to explain other events in question for the X-men.
On a lighter note, Amorphus isn't cooperating with his lawyer at all. He was attacked in his cell at night by three large human inmates. When the guards came in in the morning Amorphus sat covered in blood, some his, most not. The three men dead and their faces disfigured. The guards gave him a beating and he gave some back. Outnumbered and unable to take to metal form he obviously lost. The door closed and Amorphus held a hand over cracked ribs, wiping blood from his lip but holding that signature pleased grin to his bruised face.
The President made an address last night encouraging the public to cease their acts of violence against mutants and the X-men.
In wake of the attacks on New York City the President also thanked the X-men for their rescue efforts during and after the attack, though it's clear not everyone is ready to believe the X-men were faultless.
New York is being put back together after the Sentinel attacks. The X-men fought and destroyed many of the Sentinels before being surrounded and caged in. It was at this time a massive firebird streaked across the sky and lifted the Sentinels up with it. It burned, crushed and exploded the remaining Sentinels before disappearing itself.
Lazarus has been spending a significant amount of time in Washington during the days at least.
While trying to perform a mind scan on Wade, who gave him full permission, Xavier had something hit him on a psychic level. The blast sent his heart into fibrillation, when Wade and Star tried to help he was still able to send out a psychic screech as if he was afraid that something was trying to harm him. Wade and Star quickly distanced themselves from the Institute while Gwen used her powers to defibrillate Xavier. He was saved but he is still comatose. He's in the med bay.
After a strange string of spontaneous combustion cases makes it way to New York, Lazarus and Impulse track one of the most recent scenes down and while investigating it they both ran into a massive powerhouse of a mutant. The mutant took a massive hit from Lazarus without even staggering, Lazarus hand was shattering and immediately burned, his shoulder also burned when the mutant tosses Lazarus through some support beams. He was also, as Tasuki discovered, impervious to harm from water. Bullets didn't have any affect either. Lazarus and Impulse brought the warehouse down on him and fled, there was no doubt that wasn't stopping him either. They quickly came to the conclusion. They'd just fought Enoch, The Harbinger.
The X-men were called to fight The Harbinger, nearly a complete team went to fight, only to hear the beast say that only one could fight. It was supposed to be a duel, the winner would take the earth. Lazarus was going to fight him, but Wade pulled Lazarus away. Wade was burned very badly from the inside out and Lazarus broke Enoch's rules to save him, and fight Enoch himself. When Enoch burned Lazarus it seems he absorbed whatever energy there is that allows Lazarus to inhabit another body. Lazarus is dead.
Wade waking up suddenly felt the change, he couldn't sense his long time friend and leader of the X-men. He struggled to get up, seeking nothing but revenge on Enoch, the stress and pain on his body from his still unhealed injuries put Wade down, and he too seemed to die. The difference was that Wade's body ignited in flames, burning away his bandages and leaving behind a red tight fitting leather type uniform with a gold Phoenix emblazoned on the chest. His eyes held flames in them and he declared himself to Gwen. "The Phoenix".
Adjusting to this world again the Phoenix quickly explained to Gwen that the Phoenix came to Wade when Wade had a void (Presumably after his sisters death) The Phoenix stated that it too had been injured (Unknown by what, you can make your assumptions) The Phoenix said it found itself in Wade and that they protected each other, brought each other back to health, and when Wade was hurt so badly again, a new void ripped open with the loss of Lazarus, it had come forth fully. (That�s actually a long drawn out version, the Phoenix was much more stoic in it's explanation)
After that the Phoenix seemed to lose interest, being flooded with human emotion, something it found intoxicating. The emotion it flooded with was the last one Wade felt before he "died". That emotion was Vengeance. The Phoenix disappeared.
On another note, The President and US government is becoming unnerved about Lazarus going missing, the truce the Government had with the X-men was based solely that Lazarus meet with The President himself regularly to discuss things with him. It's possible that very soon the truce could be broken.
The Phoenix returned to the Xavier institute posing at first to Eon as Lazarus, only to reveal itself moments later.
The Phoenix very impolitely got Eon's attention by making him feeling as though he were on fire. Forcing him to feel the mental pain any ordinary person would whose skin was charring.
Steena showed up and that ended with her and Eon on the floor, broken shards of the shattered door they'd just been TK'd through hanging over them. Phoenix told them that he was going to use them to find The Harbinger, as Enoch had somehow found a way to shield himself from the Phoenix detection.
After Eon was nailed to the floor by his hands Steena agreed. She found The Harbinger and told Phoenix where he was, after Phoenix ripped the nails through Eon's hands and two more through his sides. Also after the Phoenix nailed Zoey to the ceiling and used the comatose body of Xavier to strangle Steena.
They still aren't quite grasping what they are dealing with, and The Phoenix isn't explaining much, other than claiming responsibility for putting Xavier in the coma in the first place.
The last time the X-men gathered to fight an enemy of this level of power it was Dac, Wade's nephew. Now they fight Wade and the odds aren't looking in their favor.
Amorphus was found guilty of over two hundred counts of first degree murder as well as a massive list of other accomplishments. He's been sentenced to death by lethal injection.
Minerva, beginning to heavily mimic human social behavior, formulated a plan and got Star and Madison to go to the med lab. Star entered Madison's mind and Madison entered Xavier�s, thus avoiding his psychic entry barrier. They found a mental image of The Phoenix strangling Xavier, telling him he was alone and forgotten. As Star and Madison called out to him he began to hear them. Xavier opened his eyes and through their encouragement he was able to free himself from this mental Phoenix's hold and wake up. He rested that night of course though.
An oil tanker explodes violently as BH members and Xavierites are on the docks. A small wave formed from the blast, the Phoenix forms from the boats flames. The wave gets larger and larger, finally diving low and smashing boats and docks alike. The water sits still for a moment before it dives up onto the docks and land, grabbing at whatever it can, pulling things back under, into the abyss. Star is caught in the living water, pulled deep into the dark water, pollution gives way to a salt taste. When she runs out of air she takes a breath unwillingly, expecting death she found only the oxygenated materials she needs. The Phoenix came forward, it's fire lighting the sub aquatic area around them. The Phoenix showed Star what had happened, how the Phoenix came to earth once, fleeing in agony from betrayal, then again thousands of years later it came back wounded, this time finding another who hurt like it did. It merged with that person. Merged with Wade.
The Phoenix would then show Star what was to come, New York City decimated by nuclear explosion, pain and suffering everywhere. Phoenix told Star that the only way to spare their suffering, was to end their lives now, swiftly. It said it had shown Star all of this so that she may tell others. But if he killed everyone, then what others could he mean?
Phoenix blasted onto a plane with a mutant captain, draining the man of his stored kinetic energy, then destroying the cockpit for the plane to fall to the ocean floor below. There were no survivors.
Phoenix brutalized a cruise ship as the X-men went after it. Phoenix teleported Gwen back to the city, strong arming the X-men into saving the people, and leaving Gwen alone.
In the city Phoenix unleashed it's telekinetic power, corroding and crumbling everything it came into contact with, Xavier contacted Kione and Marissa, telling them that mutant lives were in danger too. They responded by evacuating some buildings before the Phoenix knocked out Remy who'd come to Gwen aid at Xavier's call.
They became surrounded in a corrosive vortex of power, capable of separating any system into separate molecules, disintegration.
Gwen appealed to Phoenix human side, to her husband inside it. She got it to let it's guard down as Wade fought the battle of his life inside it. He fought to the surface and he saw Gwen for a moment more before Gwen stabbed him. Over and over again as Xavier attacked Phoenix psychically. Phoenix already drained from the power it exerted, struggled to regain control, Wade fought it off. Betrayed by Wade, the person it had come to trust on some strange level, the Phoenix left him, rising into the air and taking all it's residual energy with it. It shrieked one last ear piercing Phoenix cry before plummeting down into Gwen and Wade, the shock wave making a small crater in time square. When the dust cleared Gwen and Wade were completely gone.
A very short while later Amorphus was tied to a chair. Toxins being pumped into him, and his dying words as his punishment of lethal injection was carried out. "See you in Hell"
Then the mutant king was dead.
