| Charitable Trust/ Scholarship Awards |
The C.F.U.W. North Toronto Scholarship Fund Established in 1982, The Fund advances and promotes women's education by administering scholarship monies. Three trustees administer the Fund: the Chair the Secretary/Treasurer the current Club Vice-President In 1989, Charitable Trust status was obtained, and receipts are issued for donations. Monies raised by member donations and fund raising activities provide scholarships, bursaries, and awards to local Univeristies and High Schools. The Fund has endowed: two scholarships for women at the University of Toronto one scholarship at York University The Fund awards: an annual bursary of $750 to a woman student at Ryerson Polytechnic University bursaries of $500 to a graduating female student at five local high schools. |
