| "Fifty bottles of beer on the wall, fifty bottles of beer on the wall, take one down and pass them around, forty-nine bottles of beer-" Chaco dodged a piece of dirt. "Will you shut up!?" Leli screamed, then sat back down against the wall, smiling. "Whaaaat? I thought ya like songs?" Came Chaco's wheiny reply behind her. "Well, yeah, if they're not repetitive, and, " Leli smirked, "if you didn't crack your voice every second word, I might be able to enjoy it." "Oh, arrows, arrows right in m' poor heart." Leli humped. After a moment of silence, "Hey, Chaco?" "Yeah, Tart?" Leli lowered his voice, "Do you hate me?" Chaco blinked, shocked from the sincerity in her voice "What! I mean, why do you ask?" Leli shrugged, and made designs in the dirt, "I don't know, you seem to." Chaco was choked, "I-I, no, no I don't, Leli." Leli smiled hearing her name for once, "Thanks, Batboy." "Leli?" "Mm?" "Wha-What're ya goin' ta do when we get back...to the castle, I mean." Chaco asked looking down, scratching his head. "I don't know. I didn't think about it. I guess, whatever Seyona wants to do." "Ah. Then if you don't maybe we-" Chaco stopped when Leli's voice cried out. "Chaco there's something in here with me!" "WHAT?!" Chaco was on his clawed feet before he knew it himself and was looking out the window, and saw a figure clouded by darkness. "HEY, WHO ARE YOU!" Leli jumped up, and Chaco took her hand in his as the figure chuckled, and took a step forward in the light. "Don't you recognize me?" Leli stared hard as the figure drew back his hood revealing his light skin, green eyes, and hazel brown hair, then Leli exclaimed, "You're Ridleheim!" "Come any closer, freak, and I'll make sure ya won't be!" Chaco threatened, then lowered his voice, "ya know this fruitcake?" Ridleheim nodded to Leli, and ignored Chaco, "You're getting out of here. Take my hand." "Wha! No, don't do it!" Chaco protested, squeezing Leli's hand tightly. Leli bit her lip, "Not without Chaco." She said firmly. Ridleheim hesitated bringing his hand back towards himself, then sighed, "Very well, but behave and listen." "Hey, who do ya think ya're ta-" "Chaco, please!" Leli whimpered, and took Ridleheim's hand, "As long as we help Seyona." Leli spoke, seeing Ridleheim's eyes warm, before everything became blindingly white. |
