"I don't understand what went wrong" Leli muttered, leaning against the wall of the bandit's hideout, her hands and feet tied.
"I hate you" Seyona replied again, cursing herself for ever agreeing to Leli's 'plan' which had ultimately gotten them all captured. "We could've been halfway to Matilda by now.but noooooooooooooo. YOU had to go save the stupid Winger!"
Chaco lowered his head and didn't say anything. "Aw, don't be so grouchy and let me think of a way to get out of here"
"Oh no!" Seyona glared at Leli. "Not another one of your plans."
"But if we get Chaco to cut the bonds on our feet we can"
"And just how is he supposed to do that, hmmmmm?" Seyona was definitely losing her patience here.              Leli narrowed her eyes and nodded toward Chaco.
Irritated, Seyona turned to look at the Winger.
Wingsuselessheadreally uselessarmsuselesslegsuselessfeet Seyona would have slapped herself on the forehead if her hands hadn't been tied. Of course! The Winger's feet had claws on them! More annoyed than ever, Seyona shoved her tied feet at him. Catching on, Chaco extended one clawed, bird like toe and sawed off the rope binding Seyona's feet. Once her feet were free, she turned and let him saw away the ropes on her hands. Seyona stood up, rubbing her wrists and allowing herself a much needed stretch. After she was comfortable again she leaned down and started to untie Leli's bonds, and finally, Chaco's.
The three of them peered around the corner of the hut, knowing full well there were bandit guards everywhere, and they wouldn't be able to just make a run for it. "Now what?" Seyona whispered to Leli.
"UhI hadn't thought that far ahead yet" Leli replied sheepishly.
This time Seyona did slap her forehead. "Of all the lame brainedyou realize when they find us untied they're going to be really angry?"
Leli cringed, and backed off.
"Aw, leave 'er alone." Chaco spoke for the first time in hours. "She's only tryin' ta help."  Seyona sighed in exasperation. If it wasn't one it was the other! She silenced them and stopped to think.  That's when she heard ita noiselike marching feet or somethingand a flash of blue! The knights were here, probably looking for the clothing thieves. This was perfect! She turned to her friends. "All right, I've got a plan so listen up. When the bandits are distracted, we make a run for it, okoh and avoid any and all knights."
"What knights?" Leli asked, but shut up after a glare from Seyona. As if on cue, bandits and knights met, and pandemonium began.
"Now!" Seyona yelled, running forward. She nearly avoided running into several knights and bandits, but she finally made it out of the fray and into the trees. Chaco ran up to her, breathing heavily from the exertion. Seyona breathed a sigh of relief. They'd made itbut she couldn't help feeling like something was wrong         "Where's.Tart?" Chaco asked softly after catching his breath.
Dread gripping her, Seyona looked around. Where WAS Leli?! There was no sign of her. "That idiotshe probably got captured!" Seyona cursed herself. She should have kept an eye on her A figure burst out of the trees, dropping a huge and heavy pile of Knight clothing on the ground at Seyona's feet. An exhausted Leli collapsed on the ground beside it.
"Leli!"
"Tart!"
Seyona ran to her best friend's side and rolled her onto her back. "Hey, you okay?" She asked patting her gently on her cheeks.
"No." Came Leli's single reply. "You two left me back there."
Both Seyona and Chaco gave a sigh of relief.
"Well, ya knew we ware goin', silly girl. If there weren't any black and blue's or cutthroat's out there I would rattle ya." Chaco whispered affectingly, grinning like there was no tomorrow.
Seyona raised an eyebrow at the Wingers sudden softness, and if she didn't know better...
Leli gave a smile of her own, and she looked downwards, and to Seyona's amazement she bit her bottom lip. Seyona looked back and forth between the two. Each was acting totally unlike themselves. "Okay, uh, let's get going before we're caught."
She didn't get any response.  They were just staring at each other. Seyona's eyes narrowed, "I really don't mean to interrupt but there's a troll behind us." She growled, lying through her teeth.
Leli shook her head, "Did you say something?"
Seyona shook her head and stood up, "Nope, nothing important," She reached down and started to pick up some of the stolen armor and started to put it on.
"What are you doing?" Chaco asked, eying Seyona weirdly like she was crazy.
"Putting on the armor," She slid her head through the chest plate.
"See that, but why?" He shrank a little further away, "I really don't think that's going ta make yer faster...or invisible."
Seyona looked at Leli, "Well, aren't you going to put yours on?"
Chaco seemed to be even more disturbed by that point, "What! Yer playing wit me. I like rough chicks but-"
"It's just part of the plan, Chaco." Seyona mumbled, unamused.
Leli wrinkled her nose at the knight clothes, "But it really stinks..." She then looks up at her friend in arms, "Do I have-"
Leli was cut off when Seyona threw the blue shirt at her, "Yes!"
Miserably Leli complied letting out a moan of protest every now and then.
"Wrong, so very wrong." Chaco mumbled then cringed under Seyona's icy stare, "Oh! I mean wow, you two look so so so-" Chaco blinked, "Why exactly are you playing dress up..."
With that Seyona let out an evil grin, and placed a comforting armored arm around his shoulders, "Oh, Chaco won't you play with us?"
Chaco blinked then shrank away disturbed, but Seyona tightened her grip. "Hey, don't get fresh!"
Seyona clenched her teeth, still smiling, "We're going to Matilda castle. I'm going to be Knight number one, and Leli Knight number two and you," Seyona grinned and touched Chaco's nose, "you are going to our little itzy bitzy cutzsy wutzy prisoner."
Leli burst out laughing, "Yeah, you batzy watzy butter ball."
Chaco's eyes narrowed, "Will ya cut it out." Then he looked at Seyona, "What am I goin' ta git out of dis? Eh? I could git murderilized!"
Leli laughed, then stopped pointing a finger. "Oh, you're serious aren't you?"
"I don't think there is such a word 'murderilized', but I doubt Matilda Knights do that sort of thing." Seyona said.
"How do ya know?" Chaco demanded.
Seyona looked deep into Chaco's eyes, and said very firmly, "I know."
"Oh, well, why don't I just go along, I mean, I can't compete with your holiness. I have no chance; I'm just a lowly little pawn that has- MMPH!" Chaco gagged in surprise as he was well, gagged by a sock from behind.
Leli clapped her hands from behind, grinning from ear to ear, "Well, he said he was agreeing...I was right, right?"
Seyona equaled Leli's grin, "Yes, I think he did, and thank-you, he was annoying me."
"MPH!!!!" Chaco protested then realized his hands were tied as well.
"Come on fuzzy wuzzy," Seyona smiled holding up a white rope connected to Chaco's waist, "we have a sword to steal."
