| Chapter 13 |
| Leli pinched her nose and made a face, "This place stinks!" The blonde looked grimly over the mud, mold and old rotting buildings. "What IS that smell, it's not natural I tell you." Chaco lowered his voice, "that's not the only thing..." "HEY! I heard that bat boy." "So, this is Muse?" Seyona asked stepping between the two. Chaco sighed, "Yeah, this is it." Seyona took a moment or two to get her bearings, then started through the ghost town with Leli managing to step in every puddle. "Will you stop laughing at me!" Leli screeched as she once again sank in mud up to her ankles. Chaco wiped the tears from his eyes. "I would, if ya weren't so funny lookin'." Leli let out a growl and dug herself out of the grime. "Maybe put some on yer face, it could be an improvement." Chaco slapped his knee laughing hysterically. "Graaaaa!" Leli threw a mud ball and hit Chaco smack dab in his hair. Leli immediately started to giggle. "Oh, is that all yer got?" Leli stopped laughing when she got slimed in the face. "Ah-HAH! It WAS an improvement!" Glaring, Leli scooped up a huge armful of muck and catapulted towards Chaco when he was rolling on the ground. "What are you-" Seyona stopped mid sentence when she was hit with the mud meant for Chaco. Leli gasped, "I'm so sorry..." Slowly, with one hand, Seyona wiped vertically the mud off her face. She flicked it off her hand and it landed with a squish sound on the wall beside her. She narrowed her eyes at Leli and Chaco. The two of them shuddered, clung to each other for support. "I don't like the way she's looking at us..." Chaco muttered. "We have a long way to go, so come on." Seyona growled and on a dime she spun around, walked away. "You heard her, get goin', tart." Leli shoved the Winger further into the mud and started to make her way out of the mud. "Will you stop pulling on my legs, you perv!" Leli screamed. A wave of disgust flew over the young teen's face, "I wouldn't touch yer scaly hide yer wer de last chick alive." Leli stopped and stared at Chaco in an non amused disbelieving look. "Oh, really, then who is touching me then, if it isn't you?" "I told yer ther's monsters here." Leli grabbed Chaco by his shirt collar and held him close. "Look you little twerp, if you think 'it's a monster under the bed trick' is going to work on me, you better think again." "But I'm not!" The Winger held up both his mud plated hands in the air, "See!" Leli changed from an infuriated red, to a blanched white, "M-m-monster?" As if in answering to it's name, a slimy green tentacle came out from the mud. |
