Chess Club | Computer Tutoring | Resume Workshop | Tax Assistance | Book Sale

Chess Club
Check Mate! The Chess Club meets at the library Monday through Thursday from 3:30pm until closing. Any person who is interested in playing chess is welcome to participate. There are classes for children 6 years and up who would like to learn how to play chess on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30pm. Once in a while there are tournaments held at the library. So come on and join us for some strategic fun.

Computer Tutoring
computer tutoringFree computer basics classes and one-on-one computer training is available for those with little or no knowledge of computers. Sign up for training at the Reference desk.

Resume Workshop

Need help with your resume? Come to one of our monthly Resume Workshops presented in cooperation with the New Jersey Job Service. Workshops take place the third Friday of every month, 1:30-3:30pm in the library community room unless otherwise posted.

Tax Assistance

The free income tax assistance program, VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) offered by Rutgers University students will not be held at the Camden Free Public Library this year. This year the program will be held at Rutgets Campus Center in the Lower Level. Scheduling begins in February 3rd.

  • Saturdays from 9:00AM - 12:00PM

IMPORTANT - Please remember to take all necessary documentation (i.e. Social Security Card, W2 Forms) to complete the return (including Spouse and Dependents information).

Assistance is provided on a first come, first served basis, so come early.
