Fiction, Non-Fiction and Reference
Our fiction collection is located on the 1st floor. We have bestsellers, books on African-American History, Mysteries, Classics, Romance, Science Fiction, Short Stories and all sorts of stories for you to enjoy. We also have books in Spanish and Vietnamese.
Non-fiction is located on the 2nd floor along with Reference books. There are special sections for new books, encyclopedias, phone books, career guides, resume writing, legal forms, grant writing, computer books, and New Jersey statutes.

Special Collections
- New Jersey Collection-2nd floor
Contains books about New Jersey, Camden County and Camden city's history. This collection is located on the second floor. Some of the older books are located in the Jersey Room and City Directories are stored in the Technical Services Department.

Newspapers
Camden Free Public Library subscribes to the Courier Post, Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Daily News, Philadelphia Tribune, El Vocero, El Nuevo Dia, and Nuestra Comunidad. You can find the most recent copy of these newspapers at the front desk.
Camden Free Public Library Courier Post is available on microfilm from 1876-1889, 1923-1931, and 1946-present. Rutger's Robeson Library in Camden has the Courier-Post on microfilm back to 1909 and the Camden County Historical Society has the Courier-Post on microfilm from 1892 to 1959.
You can search for and read the full text of articles from the past week of the Courier Post for free at Courier Post Online.
You can also search the full text of articles from 1999 to today online, but you must pay to access these articles from the Courier Post website. Community members can search for and read the full text of articles from 1999 to today at Rutger's Robeson Library in Camden.
To find an article from 1945 to the present, you can use CamdenBase, which indexes selected articles about Camden from the Courier Post. Camden Free Public Library also has a card catalog which indexes selected articles about Camden in the Courier Post from 1970-1990. The catalog is located in the Reference Department.

Magazines
The library subscribes to over 100 magazines. The most recent issue of each magazine is available for browsing. Back issues of magazines are kept behind the Reference Desk and are available for viewing by request.
Audio Books, DVDs, and Videos
Don't have time to read? You can have books read to you in instead. Audio books can be checked out just like regular books.
DVDs and videos can be rented for $2.00 for a three-day period.
