| *We ARE NOT an Instuctional league. Although everyone will play, we will not make any side effort to teach the teams as a group, unless captains arrange a practice. We are mainly interested in getting of group of competitors who like and enjoy playing. |
| *For those not familiar with the game, we encourage you to come out and learn as you play. Occasionly, pick-up games are held throughout the year. It is a simple game, without contact, and involving ALOT of constant running. Contact league members to find out when pick-up games are |
| *We are looking for anyone age 16 and older. We hope to get a wide variety of ages. |
| *Games will be held Sundays RAIN OR SHINE for approximately 12 weeks..so if you're like allergic to rain storms, can't get off on Sundays, or are just really busy most Sundays, it may not be for you. |
| * Team Captains will be chosen by the league coordinators and captains as necessary. An attempt is made to find the best people for the job, in character, reliability and ability. If you think you fit these criteria, let us know, as we are always adding new teams as the league expands. |
| *Teams will be drafted by the captains with an effort made to balance ability as much as possible. We always make an effort to keep the teams as fair as possible to ensure equal competition. We do not allow outside teams, except in tournament play. |
| *Upon sign-ups, the league requires a donation of a fee decided on by the commissioners and captains. This money is used only to buy uniforms, run fundraisers and host events that benefit the league, its players, and the community. No one profits in any way. |
| *The Columbia Ultimate is not responsible for any injuries that may occur. |
| *Stats will be taken at each game, and than relayed to this website. Any player will be able to access the information on their team as well as the other teams. These stats will be updated on a weekly basis. If you don't have access to the internet, let one of us know. |
| *Columbia Ultimate is an experiment started by a bunch of guys/girls who like to play Ultimate Frisbee. Its success, like any league, depends on the interest and committment of YOU. We encourage everyone to come out on a Sunday and give it a try. Columbia Ultimate will make all efforts neccesary to make the league a positive experience for all involved. |
