Day 1:
         Brainstorming:
notebook will contain at least two sentences answering each of the two questions.  participate at least once in the discussion about the brainstorming and the movies.

Day 2:
explore sites about the Bill of Rights and complete the worksheet accurately.
will list 2 sites you visited

Day 3:
work with partner and choose one Supreme Court case pertaining to the Bill of Rights.
put reasons for choosing that case in writing and be prepared to share it with the class,
participate at least once in the class discussion about the cartoon shown to class.

Day 4:
explore the above cartoon sites and find cartoons and save a cartoon to a disk
list at least two sites visited
analyze the cartoon using the handout worksheet.
share cartoon and evaluation with the class.

Day 5:
draw a political cartoon.
neatly written letter to the editor of the local newspaper explaining your cartoon
share cartoon and a brief explanation with the class.

Up to 100 points will be awarded as follows:
100-91 = A       90-81=B       80-71=C    70-61=D   60 and below=E/F
Day 1:
2 pts.  � writes at least 2 sentences about what about the Bill of Rights
2 pts. - writes at least 2 sentences about how the media influences thinking       
2 pts. - participates in class discussion about video at least once.  .

Day 2:
4 pts. -explores at least two web sites and writes those sites down
6 pts. - has all ten rights listed on worksheet

Day 3:
4 pts. -with partner explores a Supreme Court Site
4 pts. -chooses one Supreme Court case pertaining to the Bill of Rights.
8 pts. -writes reasons for choosing that case in writing
4 pts. -participates at least once in the class discussion about the cartoon shown to class

Day 4:
5 pt. -explores the above cartoon sites and find cartoons that pertain to chosen right and Supreme Court case
4 pts. -lists at least two sites visited
10 pts. -analyzes the cartoon using the handout worksheet.
1 pt. -saves cartoon to the disk.
5 pts. -shares cartoon and evaluation with the class.

Day 5:
5 pts. -draws political cartoon which depicts chosen Bill of Rights Amendment and contains at least one symbol, a caption, and a dialogue balloon
10 pts. -writes a letter to the editor of the local newspaper explaining cartoon.
2 pts. -letter neatly written with correct spelling grammar and punctuation.
5 pts. -shares cartoon and a brief explanation with the class.
