You have to paste the command into the founder message area and the address for the sound file will take away some of your 2000 characters.

The clue concerning linking to messages is whether the message is stored with a unique URL, that is an address specific to that message.  In clubs, it is not.  In groups, it is--e.g.:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CFC_EXPERIMENTAL/message/161 is the address of your post making this inquiry.  Here comes the guess work...I would presume that because there will continue to be a heavy dependence on e-mail access to messages after introduction of the new interface to clubs, that unique addressing would continue.  I will pose this question to others for confirmation and get back to you (I got a ton of questions I want to dump in their lap right now anyway).

Do you know when the merge is complete, if we will be able to link
messages? It would be great if I could give my club members a link to a
message post instead of a post number to look up.

Thanks,
Angie

Hi Angel-Pie,
I have tried to copy & paste a url to a message with no success. It
doesn't come up with a link. I did this in the webpage and not through
email. I do have attachments turned on also. I will try it again and
see if it works.

Thanks for addressing yahoo merger group about this. I think it's very
important that we can link messages.

Thanks again for all your help!
Angie

It may be something specific to your access (or mine) because I tested this link before I sent it on and tested it again just now.  It works both on the message board and in e-mail.  You think cookies could have anything to do with it, NOWAYWINS?

You did not get what I was saying.  Any of your members who use Netscape will not hear music.

All you want the code section to say is:

http://members.spree.com/family/SharonLower/Music/loveathome.mid" autostart="true" loop="infinity"  width="200" height="55">Love At Home (Mid)

I am not sure what the rest of the code I see is about.  Just cut and paste this in place.

Subject: wrap and thread

Hello everyone!

I have been trying to learn about the groups and not pester to many of yall, but I have some questions that will surely show my ignorance.   What is wrap and unwrap?  Is this what makes the messages have all those arrows?  The arrows are surely driving us all mad in our club and everyone is asking about them.

On the wrap and unwrap--I have changed mine back and forth, but it does not appear to do anything.  I think?  Could someone please explain both to me?

Thanks,

auntmildew

Sharon:

I don't think backgrounds are available in Groups yet.
They are available in My Yahoo! though, you can click
on settings in my yahoo to get backgrounds.

In Groups, at this point, you only have the color
option.
