Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera was born 18th December 1980. She started performing when she was six years of age. When she was eight years of age she participated in the nationwide competition "Star Search", and when she was ten years of age she song the U. S. national anthem on several athletics meetings.
Already at the age of twelve she met her future rival Britney Spears. Christina and Britney are multi-talented females. Christina and Britney acted in Disney's "The Mickey Mouse Club" for two years.
In 1998 Christina received a Golden Globe nomination for the hit tune "Reflection" that was recorded for the sound track of the Disney cartoon "Mulan".
In 1999 Christina had her international breakthrough with the mega hit tune "Genie in a Bottle".
Britney has always sold more records than Christina, but she has had several hit singles, among others "What a Girl Wants" that was recorded in 2000. At the same time Christina cancelled concerts because of illness.
In 2001 Christina and the latino singer Ricky Martin released the duet "Nobody Wants to Be Lonely".
