| Mexicans in Agriculture and the Great Cover-Up After the word got out to the major corporations of the U.S.A. The use of Mexicans in industry skyrocketed. After the oil crisis, almost every company had scientists working around the clock to develop new uses for this incredible discovery. The American agricultural industry greatly benefited from this boom. They could work thier new 'employees' to the bone, and in the end all it would usually cost them was a 'shiny new penny', or even just a grungy old one, if the Mexicans were getting fresh. Becuase the Mexicans were so cheap to use, the farmers were able to fire all of thier regular employees, and rake in mass profits. But this caused a slight problem. Because Mexicans were not really citizens, they were not counted on population charts, nor were they really counted as 'employees'. They got no benefits, they paid no taxes, and there was no way for the government to really keep a tab on them. When the percentage of population that worked in agriculture in the US suddenly plumeted to 2%, the government got suspicious, and decided to investigate. F.B.I. agenst were sent to almost every major farm in the country. What they found defied thier wildest imagination. There were Mexicans everywhere. Working in the fields, in the barns, planting, picking, milking, slaughtering. The number of people working in agriculture had not decreased, it had actually increased, but nobody counted the countless Mexicans. Needless to say the F.B.I. immediatly reported this to the government. The government kept this story unercover untill they could negotiate with the farmers. They knew that the American people could not handle a story like that. They were worried about riots, and discrimination suits from the rich, educated Mexican population. As quickly as possible the president had a meeting with the one-hundred top level agricultural corporation C.E.O.'s to discuss the matter. The farmers knew they had nothing to fear. They told the president everything. They showed him how profits boomed with the use of Mexicans, and they corollated the use of Mexicans to the booming US economy. Soon the president was convinced. Meanwhile, a group of nosey meadi-types had spied in on the meeting, and got the scoop. Before the dawn of the next morn, the Mexican story was out. The farmers were horrified, but the president kept his cool, and sprang into action. He convened his team of top propaganda writers, and told them the story. Before long, the White House had produed an elaborate, yet plausible cover-up story. And it worked like a charm. They first effectivly 'silenced' the news reporters that wrote the original story, and told the press that what was printed was not actually true. They admited that there had been a slightly disproportionate number of Mexicans working in agriculture, becuase of the terrible living onditions in Mexico, many Mexicans fled to the US for help, causing this influx. But the original numbers were greatly exagerated. Then to appease the clever ones, the governmnet progagandists said that better techonology had allowed the drop in agricultural population. Then, just to throw people off, they said that they had increased border patroll on the Mexican border, to help stop illegal immigration. Many people were still skeptical, but as time passed the Mexican conspiracy became yesterday's news. But it didn't stop there (oh no, it never stops 'there'). The team of scientists that originaly came up with the Mexican plan, were inspired by the 'better technology' mentioned in the cover-up. They researched and devloped and soon did come up with 'better technology' some of the same technology we use today. But there is a twist (isn't there always?) all the technology the scientists invented was Mexican based - that's right, every piece of technological equipment you use is engineered based on Mexicans.
