Article iv.  Revenue

Section 1. Monthy dues shall be the per capita rate deducted from pay cheques of members twice monthly and remitted to this Local Union by the employer.

Section 2. This Local Union shall remit to the National Union, the dues as determined by a formula set by the National Convention.

ection 3. Members of this Local Union on Pregnancy Leave from the employer, or Long Term Disability from the employer shall not be required to pay dues until such time that they return to work.  These individuals will retain their status as members in good standing for these periods.

Article v.  Meetings

Section 1. Meetings of this Local Union shall be held at least once a month, unless specifically authorized by the membership of this Local Union.

Section 2. A special meeting may be called by the president or by the request of fifteen (15) members in good standing, who shall present their request in writing to the Local Union President.  No business other than that for which the special meeting is called shall be transacted.

Section 3. Seven (7) members in good standing (other than the Executive Board) shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of the Local Union's business, at regular or special meetings.

Section 4. The Executive shall endeavor to give seventy-two (72) hours notice of special meetings; nevertheless no special meeting shall be called with less than twenty-four (24) hours notice to the membership.

Section 5. National Officers and staff personnel may attend Local Union meetings with the right to speak.  Local Union members (of other C.E.P. Locals) in good standing may attend meetings of this Local Union but may speak only with the consent of the majority.  Only the members of this Local Union shall have the right to vote.

Article vi.  Elections

Section 1. No member of this Local Union shall be eligible to hold office who is not in good standing at the time of their nomination and election, and who has not been a member in good standing for a period of six (6) months immediately preceeding the election.

Section 2.  Elections shall be held every two (2) years.  The executive board may designate certain terms of office for Trustees in order that their terms of office will not expire simultaneiously.

     Nomination of candidates for this Local Union offices shall be held at the September Regular Meeting;  elections will be held at the Regular Meeting in the month of October.  Notices as to the date of nominations and election of Officers shall be placed on plant bulletin boards, and reasonable efforts shall be made to notify all members.

     Any member in good standing may nominate candidates for office.

     Nominations will be made from the floor.  No member will be a candidate for more than one office.  All nominees shall inform the Secreatary whether they accept the nomination, and acceptance may be verbal or in writing,  and shall be at the time of the nomination.

Section 3. The Local Union Executive Board may promulgate written rules for the conduct of all elections.  Such rules will include the method of selecting the election committee and any question concerning primaries and run-off elections, methods of balloting, opening and closing polls, validity of ballots, complete regulation covering ballots by mail and other procedures which will guarantee reasonable opportunity for the exercise of franchise and the holding of a fair and representative election.

Section 4. In the event that any member or group of members questions the results of an election, such questions must be reduced to writing and delivered to the President of the Local Union within seven (7) calander days from the time of the anouncement of the election results, whereupon the President shall appoint a special committee for the purpose of investigation and report their findings.
