Membership Information
Membership Dues in CIWA are $25.00 per year, payable the first of each year. As a one time offer for new members only, if you join after July 1,the dues are $15 for the remainder of the year.
As a member you will receive discounts on workshops that we sponsor, speakers at meetings, discounts on books when available, e-mail notices, and participation in critique groups.
Also, as a paid member you may submit some of your work to be put on the website. An easy way to showcase your work to the world. Here are the Guidelines.

We welcome all writers, beginners or seasoned. We currently have both in membership. One member we are particularly happy to have is award-winning children's writer, Elaine Marie Alphin. Elaine adds a dynamic dimension and adds a wealth of valuable information to or organization.
We also are very proud to have Linda Dockery, Pulitzer nominated author and award winning writer of: TV, movies, novels, magazines, and newspapers. She brings with her many levels of experience and talent.
We offer a variety of programs including outside speakers, poetry readings, critiquing and writing exercises. We’re an informal group, and we encourage our members to share their work. If you are unable to attend the meetings, you will still benefit greatly by receiving updates and writing-related articles through the Communiqu�, and e-mail updates, as they become available. We’d love to have you as a member.
Meetings are held the third Monday of each month unless otherwise notified beginning at 7:00 pm, and located at Oasis South, located on Smith Valley Road and State Road 135 in Greenwood, Indiana. Note: You don't have to be a member to attend our meetings. Meetings are open to the public. Everyone is welcome!
