Note that most of the poems here are taken from my membership days as a poet at the PoetryBoard. It was a chatboard where we converse in poetry and hiakus. It was a real challenge because some of the members were really good. I've tried to put a name to the poems although there were many that I couldn't remember. Most do not have titles, as like I've said, they were our conversations and conversations do not come with titles. I've tried giving them one but still some are better without. : ) See if you can guess which ones were written by me.
We have so much in common,
That its sometimes scary to think,
We are both addicted to writing
And a certain caffeinated drink

We both love and hate our music,
(Me, the piano, you, marching band)
We are similar in what makes us tick,
And what we understand.

Since way back in kindergarten,
We have been the same on the inside,
And slept at night with a heavy heart,
If either one of us cried.

Through every sort of season,
Through pranks and gentle teasing
Our smiles get gradually wider,
And our company much more pleasing.

We laugh at the same things,
And feel for each other's pain.
Though we drive each other crazy,
We keep one another sane.

And now that our hearts have bonded,
In a warm and happy hug.
We bring this sometimes hurtful earth,
A little bit of love.
Rhyme scheme is abcb, dedf ... and lastly ijkk.
A simple poem that uses one of the most basic rhyme scheme (I remember being first introduced to this in my first year of literature learning) yet the simplicity remains appealing.
