| Note that most of the poems here are taken from my membership days as a poet at the PoetryBoard. It was a chatboard where we converse in poetry and hiakus. It was a real challenge because some of the members were really good. I've tried to put a name to the poems although there were many that I couldn't remember. Most do not have titles, as like I've said, they were our conversations and conversations do not come with titles. I've tried giving them one but still some are better without. : ) See if you can guess which ones were written by me. |

| Sitting by the phone I sat by the phone waiting Intently Seconds went by And minutes turned to hours I sat there Leaning on my palm Staring so hard That my gaze mixed All existing colors. I couldn't see straight anymore I just wanted, no, needed to talk to him My fingers kept tapping And my sighing became less intermittent I went to sleep... Filled with anger and sorrow. Why didn't he call? The next day.... I got ahold of him and he was with my very good friend All the day long And I sat there so many hours... Staring at the silent telephone. - Piano hands |
