| I'm looking for an entry-level position that will allow me to work in a financial and/or business environment closely connected to the globalization phenomenon, particularly in economic or governmental fields. My eight strongest skills are: Inter- and Multidisciplinary Approaches to Problems Economic Analysis and Business Planning Customer Service Excellence Organizational Skills and Accuracy Teamwork, Leadership, and Project Management Verbal and Written Communication and Composition Initiative and Independence Studies on German Language and Culture With my status as a dual Canadian and German citizen with a U.S. green card, I traveled widely in North America and Europe. My post-secondary education at North Carolina State University was in a dual-degree program consisting of two complete bachelor's degrees in Economics and International Studies, supplemented by minors in Accounting, Political Science, and German. My course load was specifically tailored to study the globalization phenomenon in depth and breadth, though studies in Accounting highlighted more practical product-lifecycle and management skills. In addition to academic excellence, including earning Magna Cum Laude (High Honours) and graduating as a member of the University Honors Program, I studied at the Eberhard-Karls University of Tbingen, Germany for Spring of 2006 and was a member of the North Carolina State University International Business Club. My work experience includes volunteering at the North Regional Library in Raleigh, where I was first introduced to customer service roles. There, in addition to serving as front-line customer service, I also learned the organizational skills and need for accuracy universal among libraries. Later, as a Resident Advisor at North Carolina State University I developed greater communication, leadership, and teamwork skills while providing students the best possible service in the residence halls. In addition to serving as a peer advisor, other duties included keeping accurate reports on damages and confrontations and reacting appropriately to emergencies. I look forward to starting a professional career in a role that allows me to fully employ my talents. I am particularly eager to start a relationship with a company that offers some stability. I would be personally satisfied in a position that includes the possibility of international work and that rewards exceptional performance. |
