The Stargate Universe vs. The Star Wars Universe

I did stargate vs. star trek, so now I will do star wars. Again, in these universe battles I usually break them down into three sections: Land Battle, Air/Space Battle, and the tie breaking Espionage/Sabotage/Other. Unlike the previous universe battle, there are no restrictions on who or what can be considered.

Land Battle:
Star wars is rich in land based ordinance. They have AT-ATs, AT-STs, stormtroopers, battle droids, wompas, ewoks, rebels, bounty hunters, the Jedi, the Sith, gungans, and various others including monsters. Although the AT-ATs and AT-STs are pretty cool and could probably take out the armed forces we have in real life, they are no match for the Ancients from the stargate universe. First of all, the Ancient are not corporeal beings, so the blasters on the walkers will have no affect. The Ancients have telekinesis and can control the weather, or at least they can generate hurricane winds and lightening. They would easily destroy the walkers and take out all stormtroopers and rebels as well. But if I just considered them then this would be as fun. The Force exists for the purposes of this battle and therefore the Jedi are at full power. Their abilities are no use against the Ancients. The rest of the land battle is even in my opinion. The stormtroopers, rebels, and battle droids are an even match for the Jaffa, Ghoul'd, Tok'Ra, SGC, and Tolan. The affects of a shot from an imperial blaster seems to be the same as that of a staff weapon. Zat guns and regular human weapons are the exceptions. I don't know what stormtrooper armour is made from but I don't think it will protect them from bullets for long. A shot from a zat will definitely work. The Jedi could block staff weapon blasts like they do imperial blaster shots, but not zat shots. Zat shots would be absorbed by their lightsabers and probably still shock them. The Ashracs of Anubis have persona cloaks and they are fast. They will take out many star wars fighters alone. I am assumiing battle droids will suffer the same fate as the stormtroopers since they are only a little more powerful than them. The various primitive cultures in the stargate universe will also fight, I will put them against the Ewoks, Gungans, and Wookies. The Wompas can take on the Unus since they are evenly matched. The Replikators will beat anything that the star wars universe can throw at it. They will consume the AT-ATs and AT-STs. So basically the Ancients and the Replikators beat all. The Land goes to the stargate universe.

Air/Space Battle:
The star wars universe has many spaceships to consider while the stargate doesn't spend much time in space due to the stargate system. The star wars universe has TIE fighters, X-wings, Star Destroyers, Naboo fighters, Droid Fighters, and of course the Death Star. The stargate universe has Ghoul'd ships (used by both the Ghoul'd system lords and the Tok'Ra), Asgard ships (used by the Asgard and Replikators), Death gliders, Tolan Ion cannons (considered here since they were designed to attack ships in space), and the ships used by the SGC (The Prometheus has borrowed Asgard tech and salvaged Ghoul'd tech, the X-302 has naquada enchanced nukes). The Death gliders and X-302 are even matchs for the TIEs and rebel fighter crafts, although I believe the ships from the stargate universe to be more durable. The Ghoul'd motherships and Asgard battleships are powerful enough to take on the Star destroyer fleets, although the ships from the stargate universe have cloaking devices which allow them to fire while cloaked. The Tolan Ion cannons will do much damage to the star wars fighter crafts that come within range of them. The Ion cannons from the star wars universe will do the same to the fighters from the stargate universe. The affects of these cannons on the larger ships of each universe seems to be equal as well, although the cloaked ships of the stargate universe will give them an add advantage at eluding the cannons. This battle is significant since without aerial support, each side cannot replenish heir ground forces. The stargate universe will have the advantage in this respect as they will be able to replenish the forces that use the stargate. Those will be basically all of them save the Replikators, but they will just rebuild themselves or replicate more using the materials found on the ground or from the walkers and droids. The Ghoul'd and Asgard ships are equipped with teleporters as well and therefore will be able to send more troops in this manner if they come within range. The advantages of the stargate ships are not that great since the star destroyers are still a lot bigger. I will assume this part of the space battle to be even. The one factor that makes star wars universe so formidable is the Death star. The Death Star has only one weakness that we all know of: the exhaust port. It has a force field that seemed impenetrable according to ROTJ. But it has to lower this to fire, or so I remember (tell me if I'm wrong I 'll correct this later). The stargate universe has nothing that can even come close to defeating the Death Star. Although the stargate ships can remain cloaked, we always see them decloaked and therefore we have to assume that's the way they'll be in this fight the majority of the time. This means the the Death Star will be able to take them out. The space battle has to go to the star wars universe just because of the Death Star.

Espionage/Sabotage/Other:
The star wars universe has little in this area in my opinion. They have probe droids and interrogation droids. Probe droids can and would be shot down. Interrogation droids won't work on the Jaffa since they are loyal to their gods the Ghoul'd. I think the symbiotes will allow the Jaffa, Ghoul'd, and Tok'Ra to surpress the pain and would certainly decrease the strength of any drugs given to them. The stargate universe has Tok'Ra interrogation techniques that would work on stormtroopers and rebels. The stargate universe has a small number of mentally enhanced humans called Hok'Tors. They can read minds, but there are only a small number of the Hok'tors that can do this. The best espionage will be from the possession of a high ranking Imperial or Rebel by a Ghoul'd symbiote. The symbiote would gain all the knowledge of the host and be able to infiltrate the host's base of operations. Further sabotage from the stargate universe will be done by cloaked Ashracs and from the Replikators. Replikators can learn new technology incredibly fast and will take control of any technology they come in contact with. This means that if they can find their way on to the Death Star, which I believe they can, they will take it over. With the Death Star under their control, the space battle turns to their favour. This is a fair assumption if my information on the Death Star is correct (that it has to lower its shields before firing). Even if they don't get on the Death Star, tney will certainly get on one of the other star wars ships. In this cause the effect is the same. As for other considerations, the stargate universe has the added ability to revive its fighters. The Nocs have the ability to bring back people from the dead and heal them completely, so do the sacrophagi of the Ghoul'd. This section of the battle goes to the stargate universe.

2/3 for stargate, but the 3rd changes it to 3/3. Stargate wins this battle because it has the Replikators. Again, this battle is ongoing since stargate-sg1 is still on the air and a spinoff is in the works. As well, episode 3 is on its way. The extras mentioned in the conclusion of the stargate vs. star trek battle also apply here.

Update after the middle of Season 8 of SG1 and Season 1 of SG: Atlantis:

The inclusion of these updates doesn't change anything, I just wanted this page to be up to date on its material. The only update comes from the SG universe, namely Anubis' drones, The Wraith, The Genii, The Prometheus, the fleet of F-302s, and the Puddle jumpers.

The Wraith and Drones add to the land based battle. The Wraith can't be killed so they will keep coming. The Drones can't be harmed by energy or projectile weapons. They will easily defeat the ground forces of the SW universe. The Wraith's illusionary powers can overcome every SW fighters except the Jedi.

In space, The Prometheus, F-302s, Puddle Jumpers, Wraith Daggers, and the Replikator ship are added. The major advancement from this addition is the Replikator ship, which can't be damaged at all by energy based weapons.

In espionage/sabotage, the Humanoid Replikators can invade a human's mind to learn all their secrets.

Updated near the begining of season 10 of SG1 and season 3 of SGA:

The Ori alone could defeat the Star Trek representatives. Their ships have been shown to have such firepower that the can destroy an Asgard ship in one shot. Again, The SG universe wins.

Winner: The Stargate Universe
