| Jasmine stood, frightened and trembling. Her frustrations and confusion wouldn't allow her to stand anymore as she fell to her knees with deep sobs. Nick rushed over to her and knelt beside her, glaring at Josh who just stood there looking dumb and confused. I've fucked up. He wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly. She protested by kicking him. Ouch. Okay, I deserved it. Despite her tireless efforts to keep him away, Nick managed to carry her up to the hotel room where Brian was waiting. "What the hell happened?" Brian asked as Jasmine wriggled away from Nick and ran to the bahtroom crying and immediately locked the door. "Had a visit from an old friend." Nick said through clenched teeth and stinging tears. "Oh Jesus." Brian muttered, half praying. "Is that all?" What do you mean "is that all"? Ugh. "Well, I kind of went off the handle myself, but he was acting like a dick." Nick replied attempting to defend himself. "Sounds like he's not the only one who's a dick." Brian said giving Nick a look. Go to hell. Nick glared at Brian and walked over to the closed bathroom door, trying to lure his lovely but extremely upset girlfriend out. "Come oooooon sweetie. I"m so sorry for what I said and what I did. I love you. I'm sorry." He coaxed. "It'll be ok. Let Nicky make it all better." Pathetic. You're pathetic, Carter. Blah. "No." Jasmine said between sobs. "You think you can just fuck me and make it all better, dont' you?" She accused harshly and went on crying. Okay..where did THAT come from...? "You're just like Josh!" That hurt. Hurt and confused, Nick sighed. "No, baby. You know I'm not like that." Please let her know. "Josh said he wasn't either." She snapped back. Ahh..dammit. "For God's sake, Jasmine, I'm not Josh." Nick said angrily. Maybe that's the problem. Damn. "Fuck you." Jasmine said coldly. Ouch. That hurts. "Jas..." Nick said, very hurt now. He sighed as he went to lie down on the bed and wait for her to come around. She has to come out sometime. She can't live in there. Jasmine came out about twenty minutes later. Her face was tear stained, her eyes were red, and she held the razor in her hands, still sobbing and trembling. "I should have told you, I'm sorry." She said between sobs. Shit. It's ok.. Nick jumped up and knocked it out of her hand and held her. Don't scare me like that. She cried into his chest. Now is a great time for my plan. Lemme see....yep..I have it on me. "Shhhh baby. Let's go for a walk and get everything off our minds, ok baby doll?" Nick said soothingly. That's it...easy does it, Carter. Jasmine nodded. "I'm sorry." She mouthed. Nick nodded and kissed her forehead. It's ok baby. It's more ok than you think it is. "It's ok, sweetie. I love you no matter what. I'll always love you. Never ever ever forget that, no matter what happens, ok?" Nick said kissing her softly. Jasmine nodded. I don't know where that sudden burst of..emotion came from..hmm.. Having two hours until the concert, Nick and Jasmine hit the streets of Manhattan. The muggy air has a familair feeling. Come to think about it, everything is vaguely familair. Strange. Nick shivered and shook it off. He looked at Jasmine and smiled. She doesn't suspect a thing. I love the element of surprise. "Hey baby, let's go over here." Nick said choosing a park bench beneath a blooming apple tree. Wait a minute.... He gulped. This feels weird, almost like..deja . He shrugged and walked Jasmine over. She sat down while Nick stood over her. "Aren't you going to sit down, Nickers?" She asked sweetly. "In a minute." He said smiling. He looked into Jasmine's eyes and began to kneel down on one knee. Jasmine's eyes widened and dazzled with anticipation as she gasped. Nick reached into his pocked and pulled out a box. "Jasmine, I know I'm not perfect, in fact, I'm far from it, but you know how much I love you. Now, now I havet to show you. I want to be with you for the rest of your...our lives. Jasmine, would you do me the honor of being my wife?" Nick smiled and his hands shook nervously. Betrayal. Nick shivered. Secrets. He smiled nervously. Pain. "Yes, Nick. Yes." Jasmine said through her tears. Nick's own eyes began to fill with tears, but possibly for a different reason. Jasmine knelt down with him and embraced him. NIck slid the ring on her finger. Betrayal. Fear. Betrayal. Hurt. Fear. Pain. Betrayal. Dreams. Visions. Truth. Shit. He shuddered. "Nicky, are you all right?" Jasmine asked, concerned. "Yes." Nick said shakily. Suddenly, he saw a black figure dart behind a tree. Betrayal. He gasped for air. Dream. The dream. The air, the scenery, the girl, the..the..gun shots. Just as he began to say something in warning, Jasmine leaned in to kiss him. This isn't the time. Dammit. He saw the sun reflect off the gun. Oh holy hell. He heard the shot and covered Jasmine, knocking her down. Eep. It's dark. The blackness was followed by another gunshot and a cry of pain. Betrayal. Pain. Oh yes, very much pain. Jasmine seems alright. Ouch. "Nick? Nick?!?!" Jasmine screamed. "Oh my God..HELP SOMEONE" Nick heard Jasmine's cries as she hunched over him. He could barely hear his own thoughts. I..I..I got shot right in the left lung. Ouch. Blood. Filling. Blood. Can't breath. Blood. Betrayal. Blurring. Pain. I love you Jasmine. Whoever did this is going to pay. Ouch. Pain. Hey, the gunman. Wait..they're shot too. Hey, isn't that...Josh?" Oh shit. If he didn't shoot then..whooooooooooooooo? He couldn't figure out who shot him. Perhaps, perhaps it was better that way. Everything started to rapidly slip away from him. "Oh, Nick. I love you. I'll always love you." Jasmine whispered as she kissed her ring. She then kissed Nick for the last time. I love you too, Jasmine.Kiss. Love. Pleasure. Betrayal. Pain. Goodbye, love. Blackness. |
