| Chapter 2 |
| "Nick!" Jasmine cried softly as she looked worriedly at him. She noticed the blood dripping from his mouth. "Baby, you must have bitten your lip. You're bleeding." Nick looked over at Jasmine as he blinked away his tears. Why did dreams have to be so real? "Aww, baby. Come here." Jasmine said as she noticed Nick was trembling and on the verge of tears. She wiped the blood from Nick's pale face with the sheet. She pulled him to her and held him, petting his head soothingly. Nick bured his face in her soft skin near her neck and shoulder and cried softly as she held him. His whole body shook as he cried. Jasmine gently ran her fingers through his sweaty, messed up hair and kissed his forehead. "It's all right, baby. It's all right. Shhh." She said trying her best to calm him down. Her efforts, however, were futile. Nick's cries turned into teep sobs as Jasmine spoke. His fear rushed about him as the dream replayed in his mind time and again. He was terrified of losing her. Why did dreams hurt? It seemed so..so..real, almost like a vision. I can't lose her. I can't. The two lay in the silence of the bus. All that could be heard was Nick's tears and Jasmine's words of comfort. Once Nick composed himself he looked up at Jasmine with hazy blue eyes, who looked at him in a mixture of confusion, worry, and love. "Bad dream, honey?" She said, ruffling his hair. Nick nodded and whimpered as he snuggled closer to her. He was familiar with the dream, or vision. He had never told her about it, though. He didn't want to scare her. The only other person who knew about the dream was Brian. Brian was almost always there when he had the dream. He listened intently when Nick told him about it and always asked for more details. He's my best friend, of course he listens to me when I tell him. Although, he did seem a little more interested than I had expected. Nick sighed deeply. He was scared because he did have something special planned for Jasmine. It seemed so much like the dream. Maybe it is the dream. Nick gulped as he realized something. We're in Manhattan. Holy shit. And I'm going to be..... |
