When he was a child, he was in a terrible car crash. Both his parents were killed, and he was left with no memory. He has spent a lot of his time trying to figure out who he is.
When the forces of darkness descend upon the Earth, Darien transforms into the caped super hero, Tuxedo Mask. Primarily he offers moral support to the Sailor Scouts when they are in danger. He can project sharpened roses, which often stun evil creatures. Then Sailor Moon and the Scouts can finish the monster off.
Thanks to Sailor Moon, his past identity of Prince Darien was revealed. In the Original, Prince Darien is Really Prince Endymion. Long ago Darien was the prince of the Earth, and was deeply in love with Princess Serena of the Moon Kingdom. During the fierce final battle, Prince Darien rejected the evil of Queen Beryl and the Negaforce to protect Serena. In the battle Serena and Darien were both killed. They where then sent to the future on Earth.
In the first part of the Sailor Moon R series Darien loses his memory. Deep inside of himself he still knows that he must protect Sailor Moon and the Sailor Scouts. In this case, he creates a split personality and becomes The Moonlight Knight. The Moonlight Knight is Tsukikage no Knight in Japanese.

The Cats
Artemis
Artemis is the guide cat to Sailor Venus. He trained her to be Sailor V and then aided Luna when the Scouts where reunited. He was also Central Control. Oh and he's Diana's Daddy!
Diana
Diana is Rini's Guide Cat from the Future. She is Luna and Artemis's Child. She is really small and gets along with Darien very well.
Luna
Luna is Sailor Moon's Guide Cat. She is there to train Sailor Moon and the other Scouts. She gave the Scouts their Transformation Pens and Sailor Moon her locket. And she's mother to little Diana... In the future.
Oh yeah, and they can transform into human forms too. They look so cool! Diana still has her cat tail though, but that's okay. When and where they transform, I'm not really sure.

Helios
He is the guardian of the "World of Dreams," a young boy who has the power to transform into a Pegasus. The Golden Crystal is embedded in the Pegasus' horn. In Sailor Moon Super S he is captured by Queen Mehelania (I'm not sure if that's how you spell it) and is trapped in his Pegasus form. He manages to partially escape from his prison to meet Rini. They become friends, and eventually fall in love. Helios is the one that gives the Sailor Scouts their super transformations. He returns to his home world at the end of Sailor Moon Super S. The romance between him and Rini could possibly be the plot for a new Sailor Moon series (but that's only a rumor so far).
