Team Rocket
Team Rocket is a heartless society of pokémon trainers bent on controlling all pokémon and, ultimately, the world. Jesse and James are two prominent members of Team Rocket who work with their mischievous Meowth to prevent Ash from reaching his goal. Jesse and James have a stupid and annoying motto so I'm not even going to type that down...
Really not that much is known about Jessie's past, other than she was in the "bridge street biker gang," and she was called "Chain Jess." She and her partner, James, failed out of a pokemon prep school with the lowest grades ever recorded. Jessie is a leader and always takes charge of the team. She can even come off as a total pain most of the time because of it! It says on the CD drama that Jessie's mother was also involved with team rocket
James was born into a wealthy family but he ran away because he didn't like the lifestyle and wanted to get away from a girl named Jessiebelle that he was set-up to marry. James met up with Jessie (don't know how) and joined Team Rocket and elite group of pokemon thieves. James is kind of a slacker he loves to eat and sleep part of his charm is his inability to do anything correctly, and his inability to realize that he doesn't do anything correctly. He's always holding a rose (which I he fought with Tuxedo Mask to obtain j/k) when he's reciting that annoying motto...
Meowth is one of the only talking pokémon. He works alongside Jesse and James in team rocket, attempting to steal rare and unusual pokémon. He was his boss' favorite pokémon before he was replaced by a Persian. Most of the time he seems less than thrilled to be working with Jesse and James, but you can tell that they get along... To an extent...
And then there's Butch and Cassidy. They're another team on the Team Rocket team. Confused? Well, they, unlike Jesse and James usually get the job done. I'm not going to spend a whole lot of time on them so bear with me. Cassidy and Jesse sort of have a rivalry between them or something...

Ash is a young teen from the small village of Pallet Town, whose ambition is to be recognized as the greatest Pokemon Trainer the world has ever seen. His adventurous spirit is remarkable for his age, and he is wise enough to respect the delicate balance between Pokemon and their trainers.
Brock is the gutsy leader of the Pokemon Gym in Pewter City. He specializes in Rock-type Pokemon, which Ash will have to overcome to earn Brock's Boulder Badge. Brock has the power to induct new trainers into the official association of Pokemon trainers, the Pokemon League.
Gary is Professor Oak's grandson and Ash's lifelong rival. He would like nothing more than to see Ash fail, and Gary appears often throughout Ash's journey to challenge him to Pokemon battles. For Ash to become the World's Greatest Pokemon Trainer, he must defeat Gary in a final battle at Indigo Plateau.
Don't let her cute pigtails fool you; Misty is a serious Pokemon trainer with a powerful collection of Water-type Pokemon. Through hard work and dedication, she has become the official Gym Leader in Cerulean City. If Ash can defeat her, he will earn the Cascade Badge as a reward.
He is pretty cool. Ash and Misty met him during the Orange Island journey. He's a pokemon artist. He loves drawing and he was like a side kick until he decided to stay with professer oak.
