Characters
Gene Starwind
Age: 20
Height: 5 feet 10 inches
Weight: 154 pounds
Gene Starwind runs a fix-it shop on Centennial III with his partner, Jim. When repairs aren't enough to pay the bills, Gene makes a living as an Outlaw. Collecting bounties, making black
market deals, running weapons -- Gene will do whatever it takes to make a buck. But this outlaw isn't all business. Gene is generally a carefree guy who likes food and women. While Gene is no stranger to other planets, he prefers to remain on Centennial III. But a piece of Gene's past continues to haunt him to this day. When he was a young boy, a mishap in outer space cost his father's life. Now Gene is reluctant to pilot or even board a starship. But when the beautiful pirate named Hilda enters Gene's life, everything changes-and fast.

Jim Hawking
Age: 11
Height: 4 feet 6 inches
Weight: 71 pounds
Despite his appearance, Jim is every bit as mature as Gene, maybe more so. Jim is Gene's young outlaw partner. Although he doesn't have as many years under his belt as Gene, Jim is actually a bit more levelheaded and mature than his older buddy is. Where Gene is somewhat impulsive and reckless, Jim is rather clever and sensible. Jim always looks out for his pal and is careful to avoid trouble. But when danger looms, he often has an explosive charge handy for Gene's trusty blaster.

Hilda
Age: 20
Height: 5 feet 9 inches
Weight: 132 pounds
Hilda is a mercenary and has a lot of experience in space. She's a crack pilot and one tough customer. Even Gene has difficulty standing up to her. Don't let her beauty fool you. Hilda is clever, manipulative and steely-eyed in the face of danger. When we first meet her, Hilda is on the run from evil space pirates. She's kidnapped the winsome android called Melfina, and her life is in danger. Disguising herself as "Rachel," Hilda hires Gene and Jim to be her bodyguards. Now they're in trouble, too!

Melfina
Age: 17-18? Do androids have an age?
Height: 5 feet 4 inches
Weight: 132 pounds
Melfina is a very sophisticated female bioandroid with a mysterious past. Endowed with human emotions and a thoughtful sensitivity, Melfina is genuinely curious about her origins. Melfina grows particularly fond of Gene after he agrees to help discover why she was created. When Gene and Jim first meet Melfina, she had been kidnapped by Hilda and is literally stuffed inside a small metal briefcase. With a crew of nasty space pirates hot on her synthetic heels, it's clear that Melfina is considered quite valuable. However, it will be up to Gene and Jim to learn Melfina's true significance.

Aisha Clanclan
Age: 18
Height: 5 feet 3 inches
Weight: 115 pounds
Aisha is a member of the Ctarl-Ctarl Empire and an officer of high status until she is stripped of her rank. The Ctarl-Ctarl are a race of catlike beings with a strong sense of honor and an aggressive nature. Aisha picks a fight
with Gene and Jim soon after their arrival on Blue Heaven, but she soon becomes their traveling companion. Like all members of her people, Aisha is endowed with heightened strength and the ability to transform into a more powerful, beastly form. However, this transformation drains a lot of energy and cannot be maintained for an extended period of time.

Suzuka
Age: 21
Height: 5 feet 9 inches
Weight: ???
Not a woman to be trifled with, the beautiful female assassin Suzuka is one of the most notorious hired killers in the universe. Because she is known to eliminate her prey by the light of the setting sun, she is sometimes called "Twilight" Suzuka. Her unique wooden sword is
able to slice through most substances with ease despite its unthreatening appearance. Perhaps this capability is due to the profound skill of sword's wielder, and not the sword itself. When Gene attempts to obtain new weapons after leaving Blue Heaven, he discovers that his supplier is Suzuka's latest target. Gene fends Suzuka off and earns her reluctant respect. Later, Suzuka saves Melfina from the Kei Pirates and joins our crew of adventuring heroes on the Outlaw Star.

Gilliam II
Gilliam II is the Outlaw Star's onboard computer. It is less than impressed with Gene's piloting skills (and notes that it fears for its future prospects), which sometimes annoys Gene. The ship has some weird things, a little bigger than a can of soda that has a face, that goes around on
tracks to 'talk' to crew members, give advice, etc. Jim gets along with them rather well, what with his 'love' of machines... Anyway, Gilliam's kind of the most cynical of the group, which is a little weird. Are computers supposed to complain?

Fred Luo
Age: 20
Height: 6 feet 2 inches
Weight: 165 pounds
Fred is basically a merchant who's able to get all sorts of illegal weapons and the like. He's kind of a coward, and is also a very shrewd businessman who doesn't let the fact that someone saved his life or that he's in love with someone cloud his judgment on a deal. When you see this guy in action he's rather funny.
