Mondo Ooya
Mondo is a courageous eighth-grader [in the dub, in the original I believe he's a fifth grader] who loves martial arts. He collects Mon World cards and has always dreamed of visiting Mon World. His wish is granted when his girlfriend Rockna's father invites him on a trip there. Mondo soon becomes a Mon Colle Knight.

Rockna Hiragi
This eighth-grader [in the dub, in the original I believe she's a fifth grader] is the genius daughter of Professor Hiragi, who discovered Mon World. Rockna can communicate with the monsters telepathically. She enjoys being a Knight with her boyfriend Mondo, but is often jealous when he talks to other girls.

Professor Hiragi
Hiragi is the brilliant scientist who discovered Mon World. His goal is to bring the monsters from Mon World back to Earth to benefit mankind. Hiragi adores his daughter, Rockna. His rival is an evil scientist named Eccentro.

Prince Eccentro
Eccentro is an evil-tempered time traveling scientist from the 12th century. His plan is to bring the monsters from Mon World to Earth in order to serve him. This, he believes, will make him the supreme ruler of the world-- if he can outwit the Mon Colle Knights.

Batch
Mean-spirited Batch is one of Prince Eccentro's minions. She is impatient, bossy, and just plain evil!

Gluko
Gluko is Prince Eccentro's kind and gentle minion. She is shy, sweet, and rather unintelligent. All the same, she is excited about the idea of her boss ruling the world.
