Davis is the group's new leader. He plays on the same soccer team as his idol Tai was on and wore goggles to look like him, only his were square. When Tai found out Davis was a DigiDestined he gave him his old goggles. Davis has a crush on Kari and is very jealous of her friendship with TK. Like Tai, Davis can be a bit erratic at times, but he is a true friend. Davis was one of the children to witness the fight between Greymon and Parrotmon.

Yolei is oldest of the younger Digidestined. She loves adventure and is a mechanical genius. She's a member of the computer club Izzy used to be in. Yolei has two older sisters and lives in the same apartment building as TK and Cody. Her parents own a convenience store, which she usually takes stuff from for picnics for her friends. She was one of the many children to e-mail the Digidestined during the internet battle against Diablomon.

Cody is the youngest Digidestined. He's the most responsible and keeps everyone on track. He studies Kendo from his grandfather. Cody's father was a policeman and was killed in the line of duty. Cody's mother is a great cook and the Digidestined love her snacks. Cody was one of the children brought before Vandemon during the search for the Eighth Child.

Ken is a genius, good at everything, school, sports, computers, etc. He first learned of Digimon during the battle between Omegamon and Diablomon. He and his best friend Ryo saw the battle and the next day they met their own Digimon. The DigiDestined first learn about him when they see him on TV after winning a computer programming contest. Ken acts sweet and obedient, but beneath the mask lurks a heart of evil. Ken thinks that everyone else, even his parents, are beneath him. In the Digital World he assumes the identity of The Digimon Kaizer (Emperor). The DigiDestined don't realize that Ken is the Emperor until episode 8 when Davis notices the same bruise that he gave Ken during a soccer match. Davis and Yolei take the news really hard. In Episode 9 Ken leaves the Human World for good, and in episode 21 he is finally beaten when Wormon dies trying to save Davis' Magnamon from the Emperor's creation Chimeramon, in an attempt to change Ken's heart. From there Ken return's to the Human World where he falls into a deep sleep and dreams of his past and older brother. Finally he is reunited with Wormmon and returns to the Digital World as a DigiDestined. Ken plays a very important role in the story and he's a really good boy at heart.

In 02 TK is no longer the little cry baby everyone's come to know from the first season. He's grown a lot and, like Matt, is quite popular with the girls. He's the star player on a basketball team. TK's kind personality allows for him to make friends easily. In the start of the new season TK's mother moved to Odaiba and they live in the same apartment building as Cody and Yolei. He has a very strong friendship with Kari, making Davis pretty jealous of him.

Kari was the infamous Eighth Child from the first season. In 02 what Kari likes best is playing jokes, either on the other Digidestined or enemy Digimon. She now wears a digital camera around her neck, instead of a whistle, and is always taking pictures. Kari lives with her family and their cat, Miko. Her older brother is no other than Tai. Kari is also very good friends with TK, making Davis jealous of TK.

Tai was the Digidestined's first leader. He tends to be irresponsible and rushes into things before thinking them through. He often fights with Matt but deep down they're good friends. In 02 Tai has calmed down a bit, but he still has is old personality. He's still really into soccer and is Davis' idol. Tai gave Davis his old goggles when he found out he was a DigiDestined. And Tai's still got his crazy hair.

Matt is the quiet rebel of the group. He usually keeps his true feeling hidden inside. When he does let out his feelings it's usually anger towards Tai or brotherly love towards TK. In 02 Matt is a little more open and gives TK a little more space. He plays bass and is the vocalist for a rock band he and his friends are in. He's very popular among the girls at his school.

Sora is the mother figure of the group and often blames herself for things that go wrong, although a tomboy in the first season, in 02 she studies flower arranging with her mother. She's no longer into soccer and is now part if the tennis club. And later on she goes out with Matt... Gr... What happened to Tai, Sora? ::death glare::

Izzy is the computer whiz. He was the one to first figure out what the Digivices were for and how the Human World is connected to the Digital World. In 02 Izzy's still way into computers and sometimes stops by the computer club at the elementary school. Izzy used to have a complex problem with being adopted but now he accepts his parent's love.

Mimi's kind of spoiled and often acts like a brat but she has a pure, sincere heart. She wines a lot but is very caring and takes it hard whenever a Digimon dies. In 02 Mimi lives in America, on the East Coast (New York I'm pretty much sure), but nothing can stop her from keeping in touch with the other DigiDestined. In America she meets another "retired" Digidestined named Michael. In Episode 14 Mimi and Michael visit the Digital World together.

Joe is the oldest of the Digidestined. It's because of this that he feels responsible for the others. He is most of the time, if not always, nervous or worried about something or other. In 02 Joe is studying for High School entrance exams. His father wants both him and Jim, his brother, to become doctors and Joe often feels really pressured.
